30weeks pregnant baby moving ?

I'm 30 weeks along and I keep hearing I should feel the baby ten times an hour. However she only moves a couple times during the day and sometimes she goes crazy at night. But the movements are never every hour. Is this normal? Also I'm having a hard time staying hydrated and I'm scared I may go into preterm labor. I was having consistent contractions at 26 weeks but the preterm labor test was negative and I was not dilated ; they gave me 2 shots to calm my uterus and stop contractions and told me dehydration could have been the cause. Last night I had menstrual like cramping (only hurt when I switched positions or got up and walked) they didn't go away til about 6am which started at midnight... Are these normal??

It's 10 movements an hour...not 12 hours.  That isn't enough movement in a 12-hour period...

Every time I have an ultrasound, the fundal height is checked which measures the amount of fluid in the amniotic sac. So, if your gyno is anything like mine, and if it's standard procedure all the way around (which I'm thinking it is), they should check your fluid at each ultrasound. If they give you the ok, that should mean your fluid level is normal.

Also I just had an ultra sound at 27 weeks 6 days and they said everything looked good. Wouldn't they have checked the levels of amniotic fluid?

If you're having a hard time staying hydrated you could have low amniotic fluid, thus less movements from baby. Get a sonogram to measure your fluid levels and check on baby girl. She should move about 10 times an hour though remember baby will most likely be sleeping if you're up and about all day (swaying motion of your walk puts her to sleep) and it is harder to feel movements when standing. So next time you're worried about lack of movement, eat or drink something and lay down. Count movements.

As long as the movement is normal for her it should be fine. My baby doesn't move to the norm that she should, but she's always been this way so there's no problem. The real cause for concern is when they've been really active an then it stops or slows down. When you try to get her to move for kick counts, try eating/drinking something sweet and lying on your side. It should help.

If everything looks good, then I wouldn't worry too much. If you're sleeping a lot during the day you may just not notice her moving.

I'm not active during the day and I haven't been sleeping good so I find myself not waking up til 3pm :/ all my lab work is good and she has a healthy heart beat and ultra sound looks good. I am just concerned that she isn't moving enough?

Try to find a time of day when she is active and see how many times you feel it. Just you being up moving around might keep the baby asleep for a good part of the day, try laying down a couple times a day for an hour and see how many times she moves. she is getting less room in there, and if you're really worried you can talk to your dr about it at your next appointment.

What about the babys movements? Is it normal for her to be lazy?

I had a similar experience but at 25 weeks, and then had some cramping later in pregnancy. I had a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks, since my son was breech, so I can't tell you anything really about going into labor. I CAN tell you that you do need to drink as much water as you can, and you need to stay off your feet and rest as often as possible.
