32 weeks ... Fetal Movement

I will be 32 weeks on Thursday.. I heared that I am supposed to be feeling movements like crazy at this time!! But I'm not... my baby hasnt been very active throughout my whole pregnancy though. Every since I was about 30 weeks I just feel pushing only on one side of my stomach.. and I get the occasional kick, like one every day, and the kicks and movements are not really that strong. Is this something I should be concrned about? Any advice?

Are you pretty active during the day? I will be 27 weeks tomorrow and  I notice that when I am up doing stuff and not really paying attention, I don't notice movements that much. It's not until I drink something or eat and then lay down that the movements pick up. Have you tried doing that? You may just have a quiet baby! My mom said that she would run to the doctor every other day when she was pregnant with me because I seriously never moved, or barely moved. she heard the heartbeat and knew I was okay. When I was born I would sleep 15 hours at a time!! lol. If I could, I would still do that today...hehe. I'm sure everything is okay. Do you have a doppler to hear the heartbeat? They are wonderful to have to put your mind at ease.

hummmm maybe she's just a lazy girl  LOL....I wondered if those Bebe sounds things worked I saw them at Wal-mart.....I think I'm gonna rent a doppler off line.....cause I freak out over everything too.

Yea....my mom had one of those things...I don't think it worked until the 9th month...LOL. Kinda pointless! A good fetal doppler is the best way to go. I was renting mine, but just decided to buy it so I could use it for future pregnancies. I agree with Brown Eyed....she may just be a lazy girl!! lol. I know I sure was....or at least that's what I was told! =)

lol....but also, if you don't feel any type movement in 2 days, then I would call your doc. But as long as you are feeling something, it's okay. Like my lil bugger has been sleeping for about 2 hours now..I always freak out when I don't feel anything..finally I am getting some movement right now! =)

It could be that she's just tired, or just relaxing or it could be that she's just not a strong kicker.... Or she's running out of room slowly......

If you are active, your movement may be rocking her to sleep. Plus, when were busy running around we may not notice movement as much. I lay on my back at night and my princess kicks like crazy...not so much if I'm on my side.

Those BeBe sound recorders aren't worth the plastic their wrapped in. I bought one with my last son for my husband at Christmas 2004. He heard the heartbeat once with it around 8 1/2 mos. I asked my OB about it at my last appt. and he said we may be able to hear it with that at around 27 wks...I've heard stories from other mommy to be's that say they never heard it.

I haven't ordered one, but I've heard some of the ladies here rent from them and it works really well. I checked out the price...$25 mo. Thats not too bad.

Your almost there! Happy last few weeks....

I couldn't feel my little girls very well because the placenta was in the front of my stomach (instead of next to the spine). So that could be one thing. Another thing is the position of the baby. And the temperment of the baby!!!

If you're up and about all day it is def. harder to feel baby moving. Usually the swaying of your walk lulls baby to sleep. And also, when I was walking about when pregnant, it felt like my stomach was pulled tauter, making it probably harder for baby to push against (felt like a flexed muscle---was actually probaby Braxton Hicks).

And finally when you sit down and relax, or are lying down to rest or sleep, that is when baby wakes and decides to start rolling around, pushing, kicking. Baby is probably running out of room so kicks are less likely now anyway. You'll probably just feel pushing and rolling sensations.
