Liam is in the NICU an expected to say at least 2wks (just to gain weight) he is breathing on his own. He has an IV just for fluids and a feeding tube but is **** great he even went to breast already with no problem....
Congrats on baby Liam! I agree, 4 lbs 3oz is a good weight for 33 weeks. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope Liam is doing great! Keep us posted!
Congrats!!! I hope all is well :)
4 lbs 3 oz, that is not a bad weight given that he is early.. Im really glad to hear that he is doing well... but man that is a short labor! You held out for quite a bit of time given the fact that you first went into labor at 25 weeks.
Congratulations on your baby boy!
Yay! Congrats! Lucky lady!!!! What a nice short labor
Thought i would say congrats here as well. So glad he is doing well and hope he gets to go home with you. Is Laim in nicu at all?
Laim was born at 9:59am 4lbs 3oz an doing good... very short labor came in and was 5cm (at 7:30) and by 9:30 full.....
good luck, i hope everything turns out okay
well i thought i would update I am exactally 33wks today and i couldn't sleep all night and at 6 this morning i started spotting i'm having contractions every 3-5 mins and when i took a shower i think my water might of broke (just seemed like more liquid then a shower) I'm waiting on MIL to come watch the kiddos and then off we go to the hospital.
I always have regular b/h contractions from 33 wks, so much so thatthey wake me at night every so often with the pain, I always hop in the shower and they settl down, they can actually be mstaken for early labour contractions and in the last few weeks of pregnancy do get painful, especially if its not your first pregnancy. When I do go into labour I always go straight into active labour and am usuall around 5cm dialated when I go... so if your not sure you should always get yourself checked out to rule out pre-term labour, but it isnt a bad sign to have b/h contractions as its your body doing its thing, getting ready, and you may well go straight into active labour when its time :)
I had the same thing happened to me with my first two children and I suspect it will probably happen again, but with every five minutes it is always better to play it safe and go to the hospital.
I've been feeling the same thing for a while now. What makes it worse is that my doctor is on her honeymoon right now and I have to see a substitute that I do not really care for. I just hope that I don't go into active labor before she comes back. This other doctor didn't even want to check to see if I am dilated yet or not but when I had my ultrasound, my son's head was so far down into my pelvis, they could not get an accurate reading on his head. She also thought that the baby was still breached but again, the u/s proved otherwise. What she does not understand is the even though I am suppose to be on light duty, I am on my feet 90% of the time and that we have been working overtime since July of this year. At this rate I won't be surprise if I have this boy within the next 2 weeks, although I hope I'm wrong.
Your cervix will come down when you are close to labor.. sometiems doesnt happen until labor starts so I wouldnt worry about it now.. its probably a good thing if it is high
be careful!!!!
i was having strong braxton hicks last week and my doc told me if you can feel them they are not braxton hicks...my ob checked my cervix and sure enough i was dialated 1.5 cm and 50% effaced.....i was admitted to the hopital (i was 28 weeks) and given steroids and meds to calm my uterus down
the doc said i would be discharged in 2 days as long as there was no change in my cervix....before discharge my doc checked my cervix and said it was very high and still about 1.5 cm dialated
i would def call your ob and make them aware, position of your cerix is not a good indicator of what is going on because you could be dialating and have a high cervix
So last night I decided not to go in and by 11pm everything stopped. Today i Still have the constant cramping but not as intence. And I also have anoher question and I know how much you shouldn't check your cervix and so o and so on by my doctor knows my husband checked it when i went into labor with my daughter and he said it was okay as long as my water hasn't broke so with that said i had my husband check my cervix last night to see if i was dialated b/c if I was I was going in no questions asked. And he said my cervix is very high up there to were he couldn't reach it. Isn't your cervix suppose to drop in the last trimester???
Mine have been driving me crazy I am 35w and 4 days, I had them all last night very painful. But got up and had a hot shower and some pain meds and they seem to go away, however, now they are on the way back again. Everything is aching downstairs and when he kicks its like agony.
you are at risk for preterm labor..... you are haing regular long contractions with some pain... please go to l&d asap!
same things happening to me. my doctor.said if there five to seven minutes apart and go on for an hour you needa go be seen
