36 Weeks Prego in a lot of Pain... Please Help.

So as many of you know, I am just about 36 weeks pregnant with my first. As of late, I have been in extreme amounts of pain and I wasn't sure if this was normal or not. Everything... and I mean everything hurts. I have been in PT for my back for over a month now and get prenatal massages twice a week. It was helping at first and now it does nothing for my pain. I wake up in agony and go to bed in agony. I am swollen to the point that it hurts to stand up and it also hurts to make a fist with my hand. I saw my doctor yesterday and she checked my BP and said everything was fine and that I just need to relax and put my feet up. I even have extreme pain in my pubic bone which I have been wearing a supportive belt for. I was just wondering if this was normal for me to be in such pain at this stage in the pregnancy or do you think there could be something wrong? I do put in long hours because I commute to work on a train and so my day ends up being 12 hours or more. Fortunately, my last day of work is this Friday because my back specialist signed me out on disability. Anyway, for those of you who have gone through this before, are my aches and pains normal do you think? Any input or advice to help alleviate the pain would be appreciated.

Sounds normal to me. My hands and feet began swelling really bad since about 36 weeks to where like you said I cant even make a fist. As long as your bloodpressure is fine then you dont  have anything to worry about. Best of Luck and relax you are almost there.

Well from what it sounds like to me your baby maybe moving down to get ready for delivery. When I had my daughter I had the same pain in my low back and pubic area! I know it's really hard to deal with but if you can maybe get on all 4's and put your butt up in the air. That's what they told me to do which makes your baby move back up away from the canal and it seemed to help me out. For the pain I used the heating pad on the back whenever it started to get bad. I hope this helps I'm sorry you have to go through all that. But it won't be long now!! Good Luck!!
