39 weeks / mucus ?

Alright, I'm 39 weeks pregnant with my first so I'm sorry if I sound uneducated... For the past week I've been losing my mucus plug.. like constantly... How much mucus is there suppose to be cause it seems like a lot :/... And for the past 24 hours I've been having a lot of discharge (which I know is normal in pregnancy), but today I went to the bathroom and from the time I pulled down my pants to sitting on the toilet, I got yellow slimy stuff everywhere (on the seat , my pants, etc)... Is that yellow stuff mucus?, or should I get checked ?...

I would say mucus plug especially since you're 39 weeks. Also your plug regenerates so there is no set amount. I know tmi but if its like a bouggie then its plug. If its like you're peeing your pants its either pee or amniotic fluid.

thank you for replying to your post. I am having the same stuff going on and i am 39 weeks, 80% effaced 3 cm dilated, and his head is -2 no one ever replys if they actually went into labor with everything, so it was really nice to know that i can actually go into labor soon! Thanks again!!

Congrats on the little girl!! I can imagine if I went into labor during the superbowl my fiance probably would've made us take a portable tv with us to take in car so he could at least listen to it while he was driving lol.

lol, i know it's been a while since i been on here, but i DID go into labour that night lol, half way through the superbowl ! :P 13 hours, beautiful little girl who is now just over 2 months!

I'm glad to hear that it was all normal! It's just a matter of days now! Eat all the yummy Super Bowl food you can now since you can't eat once you go to the hospital til you deliver x(

I was just going to say it sound like your plug, this is how mine goes and it def sounds like things are starting to warm up down there lol, which of course is good :)

i went in and they said all it was , was mucus...
they did the check with the swab and what not and everything to them seemed fine...
and now im having severe lower back cramps :(
urg, if i go into labour while the superbowl is playing,
i think every man in my family will kill me lol.

Call your dr ASAP or go into the ER you could be leaking amniotic fluid as well.
