39 weeks decreased fetal movement

I only have 6 more days until my due date and have noticed lately that my little guy isnt moving nearly as much as he used to. When he does move (not so much kicks) its very light and not as intense at all. Anyone else have decreased movement in the last few weeks of pregnancy?

I agree with Danbaby, even though you're getting towards the end, you should still be feeling regular movement, not the same kind of movement of course, more wiggling and stuff, I would drink a cold drink, apple juice always did it for me, and lay on your left side and do a kick count, if it's still reduced I would call and get a NST, good luck!

Yes these last two wks or so, not painful anymore but at this point they really don't have much space. I feel him often though and his heart beat is always strong at my appts. I have 5 days til my due date. Normal to decrease some though. It's nice not being in pain from those kicks and movements,I get those rare now!

When I was about to go into labor I had decreased movements in both of my previous pregnancies. :)

my doc's office isnt open today, so Im going to give it until this evening (ill try more ice water) and if Im not getting much movement I think ill call the l&d department. ive been to the hospital for decreased fetal movement and my little guy failed his bpp the first time, but things turned out alright...I just feel like maybe im worrying for nothing and would be a bother...

I still feel my lil guy move, light movements but I know it's lack of space. My bp is always normal, and every appt is great. I'm not worried cuz I still feel him. He would never stop kicking and moving and now I feel brushes, light kicks, and that scraping feeling down there that's not pleasant fairly often. Maybe just call the on call nurse and let them know. plus baby sleeps allot now so keep that in consideration as well.

Thats very true. I know its getting cramped in there for my little guy, and i think hes pretty big, so with the limited space im sure hes not wanting to move very much!! I did feel a few wiggles not to long ago, thank god!!
