3rd trimester in the hottest part of the summer- vent

I just want to say that if I decide to have a 4th kid I'm planning it so that I'm in my 3rd trimester in the winter. My ac says it's 74 degrees, but I am so hot I can't sleep. It's driving me nuts I can hardly move around anymore because I'm so hot. UGH!

OMG I know how you ladies feel, I live in Phoenix AZ and i think its 111 here today and its unbearable and i am only 8 weeks.... the heat does NOTHING to help the morning sickness! (or all day sickness in my case). I guess I cant complain to much bc will be huge during the winter! Your almost there ladies!

thankfully it is not hot here... it has been hot the last couple days but we usually get an okay breeze... i know some killer ones are coming.. thankfully in my house.. my basement is always really cold so I can chill down there... We dont have AC because its not needed here but it does get a little toasty at night... most nights while sleeping are fine with the window open because the temps drop really low thanks to the ocean and we get wind...

Girl it is hot here in Texas!!!  I just try not to leave my house and I am not kidding either.  If I do have to, I try for mornings or evening.  Forget this middle of the day stuff!!!  Doesn't always work out that way because sometimes I have no choice, but I don't leave unless I have to.  I am so freakin uncomfortable, it's not funny!!  But I'd hate my first trimester in the heat too because I get so sick!!!  Ugh....I truly know what you mean!

LOL at AMY!

I have an overhead fan in my room and I think I'll have to put a floor one in too.

I have alot of fans, and just keep those on, RIght now my swelling is so bad and it actually hurts to retain this much water and the 100 plus heat we have been having is not helping, yesterday was my 34 weeks appt., my blood pressures ok, thank god! So now i see the doctor every week until i deleivery, almost done!!! But i would use floor fans, especially at nite to stay cool

I totally understand the frustration. I feel like a sweaty nasty cow that smells all the time. I am constantly applying deodorant to keep up with my sweat glands. When I get home from work all clothes immediately come off and I stand in front of the a/c on full blast for about 10 minutes. My husband finds it pretty hysterical.

Any tips for staying cool? What besides sitting on the AC vent are you ladies trying? I've been living off otter pops and ice chips for the last week.

With my first I had him in the winter and remember being hot but it was bearable because it was cold outside. This time its hot on top of hot its horrible and the worst of our summer is yet to come which is usually August.

I hear ya. Im in Wisconsin and we have had a heat index of 105 or higher since Saturday. I don't think  it would be as bad if it was a dry heat but along with the heat up hear we get that thick muggy humidity and I am 36 weeks and thought I was going to pass out today and I stayed indoors.
