40+1 ..need some encouragement :(
So I was scheduled for an induction today because my grandma is passing away and we wanted her to be able to see the baby. I was hoping for a natural labor and people persuaded me to just wait. But now I feel guilty because she really wants to see the baby before she passes and I don't know how much longee shell live... any ideas on a natural way to start labor? I've lost my mucus plug on saturday and haven't had any pains.. and I'm currently bouncing on a medicine ball!
Thats true. I may try that tomorrow after my sweep lol. I get some cramps and contractions out walking but they tend to fade off again after a few hours x
Yeah something like that it wouldn't hurt to try since its just stimulatin it. I went walking for long hours but I haven't felt any pain at all.
I read nipple stimulation needs to be done for about am hour, each side, a couple times a day? X
What about that nipple stimulation ive been wanting to do it but I'm waiting I just got 5 days left
I've heard a pedicure can start labor? Somehow because of a certain part of your foot they rub
Haha I say "walk" - it's more like a penguins waddle by now ;p And it takes me twice as long as it normally does now, but the dog enjoys it, she just thinks its playtime, cause near the end she plays in the river while I sit and rest before tackling the hill home lol x
Mommabear, it makes me feel a little better too! I've been walking everyday. Nowhere near 4 miles though, that's great!
Well I walk about 4 miles a day at the moment anyway as we have the dog, I know it won't arrive until its ready but it makes me feel a little better If I think that I'm doing something to hurry it along... I think bd will be busy tonight trying to hurry it up as he goes back to work on Wednesday and we want it to come before he starts back so his paternity leave will run straight on from his holiday x
We had the same due date :) nothing happened for me either. Sadly, nothing will work if your body isn't ready. Although I've never heard of shrimp scampi sending someone into labor...that sounds fantastic right now!
Walk walk walk walk! That's what worked for my sister. Also, get a message! Have your feet rubbed a lot!
I was 1-2cm dilated 5 days ago so can't wait for it to come already lol. Ive been googling how to induce it naturally for the last 4 days ha ha x
That's a shame! Lol it literally worked in like 15 minutes I remember like it was yesterday. With number 2 I drank mango smoothies for two days and it gave me contractions and I dilated 2 cm. but of course it's not the same for everyone. Try looking up stuff on like baby center for safe things to try. :)
If you find somethin that works, let me know! I'm 40+4 and have had sex, walked miles, ate spicy food, taken raspberry leaf capsules and bounced on my ball (I dont eat sea food either) x
Castor oil gave me the boo boos and left me in severe pain it didn't work and u wouldn't reccommend it. Shrimp actually sent me into labor with my first. I ate shrimp scampi and then the labor started
