8 weeks and no fetal heartbeat

hi, i need ur help. last week had my dating scn. found out i was 8 weeks but there was no fetal heartbeat. i have been booked in for another scan due in 10 days time. its been two days tht im having a dark brown color discahrge and had cramps. last evening went to ER. the doc did the internal examination and later told me that i have miscarried last week only and there is no point of having a scan done. doc said with a CRL measuring 18.4mm there should have been a heartbeat. i was only spotting till the time she did the examination. afterwards i did bleed but not heavily infact now im not bleeding at all and just having dark brown spots. can anyone tell me what is going on?? is it true that i have miscarried or is there a chance that baby could still be alive? anyone went thru the same situtation plz advise..

I am sorry to hear....  I went through this last year.  It started with some brown spotting.  A few days later I had INTENSE cramping, along with heavy bleeding.  It took some time for my body to pass everything.  The hpt still showed positive for about a month after.  It was the most horrible thing ever.  sorry to hear.

Bleeding or lack of bleeding is not indicative of a miscarriage. If a high-tech scan showed no heartbeat and you are bleeding (even if it is spotting or hardly there) then that is not good news. It can take time for the hormones to go down enough for your body to realize it doesn't have an embryo to sustain.

I am so super sorry!
