81 mg baby asprin

My doc called yesterday and told me the bloodtest came back positive. I'm pregnant :o) he also wants me to take a baby asprin daily. I never heard of this. Has anyone ever done this? Is it safe for the growing baby? I hate taking meds and seems strange to me.

Those who have trouble staying pregnant are told to take the baby aspirin to avoid clotting. If you do take it you should through at least the first trimester as it can help reduce incidence of miscarriage. Baby aspirin will not harm baby

Many women are told to take Baby Aspirin either when they're ttc or in early pregnancy. Did he say that you only had to take it a short amount of time. It helps if you form lots of blood clots or if you have a recurrent issue of miscarriage.
I actually started taking it after my miscarriage at 5 weeks while I was still ttc and then I took it for the first month of my pregnancy.

Im not exactly sure, but I can't imagine your Doctor telling you to take something that would cause harm,
