9 WEEKS AND STARTED BLEEDING LAST NIGHT

Today is my first pre-natal appt. but last night at around 7pm I went to the bathroom and noticed I was bleeding and passing a few tissue/clots in the toilet.  I called my OB and they said there really wasn't anything they could do but that bleeding is not uncommom in pregnancy even with tissue and cramps and they would see me tomorow.  I have just been wearing panty liners all night so there hasn't been a large gush mostly bright red when i wipe and some spots on my panty liner.  I have mild cramping and have been having some diahrea. I am very scared to go into my appt. today and have them tell us that we lost the baby or are losing it. I guess I am just looking for some women who have experienced bleeding and pregnancy and or miscarriage to share their stories.  This is my third pregnancy and I have not ever experienced any type of bleeding before so I am expecting the worst right now.  Please write me.  Thanks

Thank you ladies for all your comments and words. It helps knowing that others have experienced this ecspecially since this is my first miscarriage.  I am not going to have to go through the D & C because Weds day my body started the process naturally.  It was very painful not like I expected at all but I think I passed the worst part yesterday because now the cramping is manageable and the bleeding has slowed down.  When is it safe to try and get pregnant again?

I had a D&C a week ago.  I was terrified, but in the end it was very easy and I was working myself up for nothing.  I did have a reaction to the muscle relaxant that cause really bad muscle soreness when I attempted to use whatever muscle.  Muscles I didnt even know I had hurt but that only lasted 2 days.

With me there was only a sac as well, we never saw a fetus.  We had several scans over a period of two weeks however before making the decision to have the D&C.  Id wait a week and see what your body does and then have another scan, make the decision from that point.

If you ever need to take feel free to message me.  {{hugs}}

Yah, I was in the same shoes as you, I was preggo with a sac but no fetus :( My doc gave me the same options and I chose D&C because I asked around and people said that natural m/c can be very very painful...D&C was a very easy procedure, they put you to sleep and you wake up 20 min later, the whole procedure honestly takes 10 minutes! They will give you something for the pain if you get some after it is done. I had pain for 2 days and it wasn't all that bad, I didn't take any pills, just dealt with it. But I remember being at work, thinking about d&c and the baby I could have had and I remember crying my eyes out. However you cope with your loss, is fine but please remember that you will get pregnant again and perhaps very soon! I got pregnant in 7 months but it could happen much earlier with you! Don't give up!

i'm sorry too, sweetie. miscarriages are a lot more common than people think, some drs guess at around 50% of early pregnancies ending in miscarriage. you haven't done anything wrong and have nothing to feel guilty about...it's just something that happens. i really hope your next jelly sticks for you. there are plenty of women on here who've miscarried, so they're here if you ever need someone to talk to who has been through the same thing.

Im so sorry for your loss, i have had 4 m/c and 3 d&c. Please dont worry about the d&c everyone that i had was just fine. They put to sleep which is the best bit, when you wake up you might have a period pain and a little bleeding but after a couple of days your feel much better. Good luck sweetie. x x

Thanks to everyone that responded yesterday. But Unfortunatly when my fiance and I went for our check up it showed that I was supposed to be 9 weeks but there was only a 6 week gestational sac and not even a full fetus left.  So I am miscarrying my doctor said I can wait for nature to run its course or i can schedule a D&C.  I have never had to have surgery before. Both my two other pregnancies were vaginal so I am very nervous but he said it could take weeks before my body realizes I am not pregnant and starts the real heavy bleeding.  I am very upset and confused as to why this happened he told me it wasn't my fault and there was probably something wrong and it just couldn't continue after 6 weeks but that really doesn't make it any better.  I am at work today and no one knows what I am going through and I am having a hard time holding it together.  Have any of you ever had to have a D&C and should I be worried about it??

i had big bleeds, gushes of red blood and cramps from 9 weeks and five days till i was 16 weeks pregnant. i was told it was a threatened miscarriage due to bleeding in and under the amniotic sac and there was nothing they or i could do. it was just a case of wait and see if the bleeds heal themselves or get too big and force a miscarriage. fortunately they did heal and i am now 32 and a half weeks pregnant with a healthy boy. bleeding is not uncommon in pregnancy. sometimes it's a sign something is wrong...and sometimes not. what worried me about your post is that you mentioned clots. did you mean clots or cramps? i ask because i was told if i were to miscarry, i would pass clots and that is how i would know.

Actually not all miscarriages are like that.  I also dont want to scare the OP but I had a miscarriage back in 2006 and I was bleeding like you were but had no cramping, at least none that really bothered me.  Then just this past month I had another miscarriage and the bleeding was never more than what Id consider spotting.  So there isnt a "one size fits all" experience to indicate a miscarriage.  Best to just call the doctor with any sort of bleeding.

I wish the best for you.. The same thing happen to me.. I had light bleeding and for a night and the next day was my first prenatal appt.. I told my doc he said it was nothing to worry about.. 4 days later I woke up with terrible cramping... and bleeding.. Went to the hospital.. then the bleeding increased. It was pouring out of me....... i was puking etc... and I lost my baby... I didnt write this to scare you.. I wrote it to let you know.. that if you were miscarring.. you would know without a doubt!!!!!  But some spotting is normal....  I had it and I had my healthy baby boy 10 months ago...

Honestly, I don't know what to say because it can go either way...bright red, I heard , is not good, I was spotting brown for a few weeks but not red. On another hand, I know so many women who had bleedings and were fine! So cross your fingers and hopefully, your little one is safe and secure in your womb!

Well if you are not filling a pad within 2 hours then I think you should be fine... Or at least that is what my doctor told me. He did put me on bed rest to prevent a miscarriage. I am 7 weeks and I have been spotting brown for a couple weeks already but just recently the spotting turned into red blood with what looks like the linning from uterus. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and they did an ultrasound and they said the babies were still there with heartbeats. The said that by the time the blood is out it has gotten oxygen which causes it to clot so they said not to worry about that.
