here is the information on diflucan (fluconazole)

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Diflucan?
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to Diflucan, or similar drugs such as clotrimazole (Lotrimin), econazole (Spectazole), ketoconazole (Nizoral), miconazole (Monistat), sertaconazole (Ertaczo), sulconazole (Exelderm), terconazole (Terazol), tioconazole (Vagistat-1), or voriconazole (Vfend). Do not use Diflucan if you are also taking cisapride (Propulsid) or terfenadine (Seldane).
Before taking Diflucan, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have:

liver disease;

kidney disease;

a heart rhythm disorder; or

a personal or family history of "Long QT syndrome.

If you have any of these conditions, you may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take Diflucan.

FDA pregnancy category C. This medication may be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Diflucan can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

My doctor said Diflucan is not safe during pregnancy and will only prescribe a cream if I get one.  There might be mixed opinions, though.

Do NOT take this pill while pregnant. I used to get yeast infections chronically and was told I was NOT allowed to while pregnant. You can however use Monistat cream inserts from the store.

And I also wanted to add that after having my daughter.......I have not gotten one since. For some reason, I used to get them monthly....its been 4 months and I have NOT had one!!!!! so happy about that.

Take over the counter monistat cream inserts. Or you can use the generic store brand.. You will find it in the isle near the pregnancy tests and things of that nature. Look for monistat.....there are a bunch of different kinds...1 days...3 days....7 days.....and below that you can find the generic brands of monistat.....
This is the only thing you can use during pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection, and unfortunately, its not a pill you take orally. They are inserts that you use vaginally.
