A little OT but an update on myself/why I haven't been around.

Dear ladies,
if you remember me, :P I am now 34 weeks pregnant and had my baby shower today (Sunday). It wasn't anything real formal though, and the only people there were unfortunately my grandma, a family friend, my sister, and my mother.. so it wasn't any sort of big bash or anything.. But I got a few nice things anyways, it was nice. ANYWAYS... So far, so good, with the pregnancy.. baby moves around a lot, and is getting so big. I am getting anxious/worried for not feeling quite ready.. We don't have a lot of money and my mom is leaving my step dad soon and we'll be finding a new place.. I don't even have maternity clothes. So things aren't the greatest here, but I try to make the best of it. I didn't really come here to complain, just wanting to let you all know how I've been, for those of you who care. or [MAYBE?] were a teeny bit worried about me? :P haha, just kidding.

For those of you I used to talk to sometimes, please, let me know how you're doing.. and if anything is new since I've not been here. Anyone find out the gender of their baby that didn't know before, or recently get pregnant? UPDATE ME!!!!

Yeah, I still need a diaper bag.. I don't think he'll really need any bibs for a while, that's why I got cloth diapers, to use as burp rags and what-not. I'll be breastfeeding, so for the time being I think we can do without bibs..  and yes, mittens I need.

do you have a diaper bag? some hospitals give you a small one. also maybe some bibsand mittens(they scratch their faces alot when their first born).for yourself at the hospital, you need  breast pads(even if your not breastfeeding you need these) . Just a few items, they are not that expensive..Oh and too your belly is adorable.. best wishes

My husband is too - i could just squeeze him to death he's been so good to me, lol! Well if there are any garage sales my grandma will be SURE to scout them out for me, she just loves them, and she's been a huge help.. So I'm sure I'll know if there are any. But I don't know of any second hand stores around here, except Goodwill, and my grandma goes there a lot. :/ She actually did get a couple things there, like the crib. before too long I need to sanitize everything, most of the stuff has been though.. Just about all of my stuff is used.. Well, yeah all of it. Except most of the clothes. =/
But it's okay, it works.

Linzola1 - =] ! You're not far behind me either. I'm sorry about your cold :( I've been having stupid seasonal allergies. Luckily they're not too bad though. I hope you feel better.

I am glad to hear all is well with you. I was wondering where you had gone. I am now about 32 weeks and doing well, besides a horrible cold that is leaving me with no enery right now. I agree with KellyA74 I would def. check out Garage Sales it is that time of the year. I think here in Missouri they are commenly done on saturday mornings and on Wednesdays. Good Luck

Hey...just thought of something else....If $$ is tight, try looking for Second Hand Baby stores.....I live in a pretty small area and we even have one here.....You could probably get a changing table pretty cheap........The one here (my friend went to it and was telling me about it) has brand new sheets, blankets, etc for like $1 or so!!!  Worth a try....garage sales too......

No problem! Yeah, changing table isn't a must, but I thought I'd throw it in there. I personally love 'em! But I know plenty of people who just use a low dresser. I actually have a vintage changing table so the baby is sort of set into it. You still have to keep your hand on them.

A bed or the floor work just as good!

Thanks! I don't actually intend on getting a changing table, I'll just get the plastic/rubber [or whatever] changing pads and use them and put him in the crib to change or something, the changing tables make me nervous because they are so narrow you kind of have to hold onto the baby while you change them, or strap them in... and thanks for the advice. :]

A dresser or changing table.

You may need more crib sheets. Also, Walmart sells these "lap pads" in the baby section. I put those down on the changing table and under baby when they sleep because leaks happen! That way you don't have to change the entire bed. I think they come in big sheets so you can cut them down so you have multiples of those.

The bassinet sheets should be plenty because I survived with two!

Definitely more diapers. I think that's it! You don't need a diaper pail (just use a regular trash can! It's going to stink either way, you know?!). And you don't need a wipe warmer.

If you WANT one, you should try to see if you can get a Boppy pillow for nursing/feeding.

Otherwise you sound pretty much set. You may want more clothes so look at yard sales or consignment. Also, check out Craigslist or Freecycle for inexpensive lots or free clothes. Maybe Ebay as well?

In fact you may be able to find a lot of whatever else you need on Craigslist/Ebay/Freecycle!

I WAS wondering where you had been but I couldn't remember how far along you were so I didn't know if you were tied up with a new little one!  :o)....Sounds like you definately have the basics!  Esp. being it's summer time...you won't need all of the winter non-sense!
Have you looked at Walmart for maternity clothes......they sometimes have really good sale prices,....esp. on line......shirts for like $5..just a though to hold you over until you don't need them anymore!
oh yeah, www.motherhood.com has cute clothes under the clearance section!

Michele, Katy, TX - yes my family is great. my mom is behind me 100% and even starting to get a bit excited! :)

kennedydp5 - Are your BHC's uncomfortable? Mine are usually quite uncomfortable, especially if I'm laying on my side it feels like my belly's in a vice grip.. Hahah. Ah this is exciting, we're having our babies close together. :)

JoyRenee - Yep, lots of stress but a lot of it has toned down a bit, and things between the baby's father and I are so much better now, even though we still aren't together right now. He's trying to help as much as possible.
Uh let's see, I guess now would be a good time to do an inventory on the things I've got, huh? I haven't anything better to do right now. Hahah..

bassinet
crib
infant bathtub
walker
swing
high chair
car seat
baby monitor
2 packs of diapers
1 box+4 refill packs of wipes
2 baby manicure sets
6 wash cloths
3 bottles
14 newborn / 0-3 mo onesies
3 3-6 mo onesies
18 pairs of socks
and plenty of older sized clothes
9 receiving blankets
about 20 diapers [burp clothes]
1 crib mattress sheet
2 bassinet mattress sheets
a thing of lavender bedtime baby lotion and one of lavender bedtime baby oil gel
bottle brush
And 100 pack diaper disposal bags

Wow, I didn't notice I had so much stuff!!!
Am I missing anything important?

Oh man, sweetie! It sounds like a lot of stress but I hope baby stays in there long enough for things to get settled in the new place. I remember feeling that anxiety over not having stuff ready! It's a sucky feeling. And my last baby shower only had 3 people (all family) at it, as well. It was a real bummer because I felt like I had no friends and anyone who cares, etc.

So what else do you need? Is there a lot left to get? Maybe if you type it all out and see it we can help you plan and show you what you don't need or what can wait???

:) ! It's so nice to hear someone's been thinking of me, a couple someones. :P  I've been wondering about you ladies, just really haven't had the time or the ability to REMEMBER long enough to come on here! Plus my computer chair does NOT have back support, it's a piece of ****.. So I try not to spend a lot of time here at once, and this forum always gets me hooked! Haha

MOM23ANGELS25F - yes! You know basically what's been going on.. and I plan on coming around more often now that I've had a chance.

shasy03 - Yeah! My step mom had her baby, he's cute. I've yet to actually see him in person though.. guess he has a club foot, too. Which they are working on repairing with casts. =( But all else is well! And thank you! I remember not long ago, hitting 20 weeks and thinking WOW half way there! Seems like just yesterday.

krissyy - Thank you! And yes I hope things start looking up for me soon, but I'm pretty content with my life right now, I absolutely LOVE being pregnant! even though it's getting SO uncomfortable. Eager to meet baby boy, yet I know I'll miss my belly so much. And good to hear she's moving around, seems healthy! And congrats, I wanted a girl.. But I'm fine with my little boy, now.

LosingMyMindInGA - aww, you're having a boy, too? :D Exciting. Seems like a LOT of women are going to be having little boys. And yes, I know that not having maternity clothes is not so bad, I just don't like loose t-shirts because I just love showing off my belly, I'm so proud of it. And my pants are killin' me!  =) 25 weeks already? Seems like not long ago you were just like.. 11 weeks!! congrats to you as well. btw, how'd things go with the boyfriend ? Message me if you wanna talk about it, last time I was around, I believe you were fed up and kicking him out?? Hadn't heard anything since.

joshuawatkin - Thanks! I am glad too. Getting excited.
