AF

Well my period turned up this morning. One day late and definatly there. :( absolutely gutted. I am going to buy ovulation kit asap instead of using only ovulation calendar but which one is best to use? And how is best way to use them? What else can I do to improve chances? :(

I use the cheap OPK too. I bought a package of 20 OPTs and 10 HPT strips on Amazon.com for about $10. I am on a 30 day cycle and use an ovulation prediction calendar app on my phone to show when my fertil period begins. A few days before that I will start using the OPTs with the first morning urine just incase I ovulate earlier than expected (which this month I did.) We start BDing and I will test until I get the possitive result and then a negative again.  Every woman is different and sometimes comparing lines can be a pain. I back of the package says a possitive result will be when the test line is just as strong or stronger in color than the control line.  Some months I get a line that is clearly there but not quite as dark as  the control line. This shows up for 2 days in a row and on the 3rd day it is back to negative. This month I have been taking FertiBella and noticed that for the first time I was having ovulation symptoms. That is what made me start testing early this month and the first day I tested I got the strongest possitive result ever. The test line was very dark. Im 5DPO today and hoping this is our month. Good luck with everything! SSBD!

i really feel for you!! i hope you do have better luck next month, i know quite a few people that were trying for a baby, and finally got pregnant when they 'stopped' trying! i always try to keep in my mind that it will happen when its meant to be and that there must be a reason why i wasnt meant to be pregnant this month! best of luck for you :)

If you hate comparing lines and money isn't an issue than the digital ones are great OPK but i used the cheap ones from Walgreens that come 20 in a pack that are strips that you dip and then compare lines. I've used many brands but haven't noticed any differences, all work. I also used a sperm friendly lube called Pre seed which you can buy online or at CVS. If you go to the Pre seed website preseed.com you can get Pre seed and you can get ovulation predictor kits and pregnancy tests and so much more even male fertility vitamins!  My OB recommended both the OPK and Pre seed when I was ttc.

Good luck!!
