Abdominal Pregnancy.

Good day to all.

How is abdominal pregnancy detected?
Can a vaginal and pelvic ultrasound detect an abdominal pregnancy?
What about HPTs and Blood test?

Thank you.

Usually the baby doesn't implant itself outside of the uterus (ectopic) but when it does it can usually be detected with consecutive blood tests to determine if the levels are rising and when the levels reach over 2000 then they can do a transvaginal u/s to determine how the baby is progressing and if it is outside of the uterus or not.
A home test can not determine if you are having an ectopic or not because it only tells you if you are pregnant or not.
No a tranvaginal ultrasound will show the uterus, ovaries, cervix, pretty much everything including the progressing pregnancy.

If your tests came back negative then most likely (99.9% sure) that you have nothing to worry about.

Ah so...I have nothing to be concerned about, all my tests have been negative since January and I was already more than two months late.
I did have a period but it lasted an entire month and was very heavy, I took parsley along with the Duphaston and Minidrill at the same time...

What if the baby implants itself outside of the uterine cavity?
Can a regular HPT or blood test detect it?
The vaginal ultrasound only stops at the ovaries, no?

A pregnancy can be detected by both vaginal and pelvic ultrasounds. Vaginal are more common in early, early pregnancy. Also HPT's can be accurate about 2 weeks after conception or around the time your period would be due. Blood test can tell about a week after conception and about a week before your period would be due.
