Abdominal Pressure

Okay, so I am a worrier and tend to worry about everything, but I have been having a LOT of pressure lately in my lower abdomen. I am about 5 months pregnant and already huge and so know a lot of that has to do with the growing/stretching, etc., but I am worried by some of my symptoms.

Is it normal to be sore and exhausted at the end of the day, even if you sit all day? I also find I get exhausted and sore from walking around/shopping, errands, although much quicker. I have also occasionally had some Braxton Hicks that are not painful, but are unpleasant.

Just wondering how much is normal when it comes to 'pressure'.

I would think that its all normal, I was the same as you my daughter and son are 10 yrs apart and MAN the second pregnancy kicked my but, I was sore and tired all the time, I think I just noticed it more bc I was older and I hadnt been pregnant in 10 yrs and forgot how it felt. BUT like Clysta said if you feel it might not be normal give your doc a call, that is what they are there for! Better to be safe than sorry.

I am 19 weeks and I have alot of pressure too. It is normal. My baby likes to sprawl out and roll and stretch alot so that is what is causing mine. But it could be something similiar to yours. as far as braxton hicks I am not too sure about that. I get exhausted easily too. I have to sit often and make sure a bucket or empty bag is close at all times since I am still having morning sickness. So that has caused me to be kind of achey. So other than the braxton hicks everything is pretty normal and should be nothing to worry about.

Thanks Clysta! I have had my iron levels checked, and they are good (both types of iron). Maybe this is just normal, but I think I will mention again to my midwife, just in case. It's been 10 years since I had my daughter so I just don't recall whether I was this sore/exhausted with her!

I would say if you have pressure that doesn't seem right to you, then you should call your doctor and ask them about it. I know I was sore and exhausted everyday but I also spent my days vomiting so I think it was due to that. When ever we went to the store I would have to sit after 5 minutes because I was so tired from walking. Have you had your Iron levels checked as well to make sure they're ok?
