Advice on sick toddler Please...

My 4 year old has developed a pretty nasty cough for the past 3 days, and everything I have in my house doesn't seem to be helping him. I have tried Triaminic Cold and Cough, which didnt work, and then Robitussin DM for cough and chest congestion, which isn't working either. He can't take childrens mucinex because it makes him vomit.

Do any of you mommies know what I can possibly try that can help his cough? He isn't running a fever, or have any other symptoms.

Thanks in advance.

And a humidifier!

They're probably old enough to try cough drops as well. And drinks TONS of water!

My daughter has a nasty cough, too! Try some Vicks, warm baths with the menthol scented baby bath.

Don't give the child dairy (it causes more phlegm).

Also, My husband smokes, but does so outside, and he always wears a sweater/jacket and jogging pants over his other clothes, which he can put on and take off outside so the smoke isn't on his clothes when he comes indoors.

Thanks!
