I did tell him I was TTC but he still suggested the birth control for six months to surpress cysts I guess.. Maybe a second opinion wouldnt hurt.
I agree that your Dr is not really working with you to concieve. Even when not trying to conceive my Dr's (both gyn and endocrinologist) had me on met formin for the pcos. Just added birth control to avoid pregnancy (Yasmine). I would maybe get a second opinion. Of course i'm not a Dr and maybe your Dr has a reason for doing birth control first. And maybe your cycle had gone way off and you ovulated way late causing the missed periods. That's what will cause the 30 day cycles. (my Endo called it regularly irregular.)
Have you told your doctor that you are actually trying to be pregnant, or just that you thought you might be? If you told him you're trying to become pregnant and the only suggestion he's given you is to go on birth control, he's not working with you. There are many other treatments for PCOS that do not inhibit conception.
Some of those symptoms (like weight gain, headaches, and no period) will happen due to PCOS messing with your hormone regulation. I had those three symptoms during the time between going off the pill and being diagnosed and treated for PCOS. Without treatment for my PCOS, I don't think I would have had a period on my own. I went 7 months without a period because of PCOS.
If you were 2 months pregnant a baby would show on any kind of sonogram. They can detect a baby as early as 6 weeks pregnant. The symptoms could be the same or similar.
he did not put me on any other medication for the pcos or anything , all he suggested was the biirth control but i havent started it yet cuz i need to have a period first , but i mean how long is too long .. this is all just so weird to me .. after the 1st week of feb. itll be two months since my last period ..
Yes and no. I would get regular periods (about 30 days apart) but once my husband and I started trying my periods went wack! I think it's partially stressing over having a period. I would probably wait until you start your period to start on birth control because yes there is chance you could be pregnant, but also keep in mind you may not be. I went 2 months practically with no period before I got pregnant. Has your Dr suggested any other methods? I've been ok met formin for nearly 2 years to control my pcos. It also can help with fertility and cause you to ovulate which is part of the problem with pcos.
ALSO- I find it weird how after we are TTC that my period ALL of a sudden doesnt come but is from the PCOS according to OBGYN . Coinsidence?
