Am I Pregnant?

Hey. Im 18 and I recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I have these birth control pills called Lutera. I had started the pills at 12 a.m on thursday and we had unprotected sex, twice, that thursday around 6 p.m. The next day we had unprotected sex multiple times and i took my pill at 12 once again. The day after that we had sex, unprotected, and I accidently took my pill thirty minutes late. The next day we had unprotected sex once. It was before 12 a.m and he was leaving so I didn't take the pill. He ejaculated in me every time. So now, in the present, its been about a week since the intercourse I told you about. I feel sore and have had bad cramps.I have a cold that feels like the flu. Also my gums bleed now. I took a test yesterday and it was negative (probably too early to tell). Please tell me if your sure I'm pregnant or not..and if your not, tell me when i should take another pregnancy test or go to the doctor? thanks..

You very well could be pregnant. LIke sprarah said, the first week especially you are not supposed to have unprotected sex, if you start right after your period, and some are not as effective within the first three months. Birth control in general, no matter how long you have been taking it is NOT 100% effective, and you can still get pregnant. My sister in law got pregnant while on birth control AND using a condom. We can not tell you yes or no if you are pregnant, the only way to tell is to wait until your next period and if it is late or does not come you need to test.

No one here can tell you if you are pregnant or not, but I can tell you that birth control pills are not effective against pregnancy the first day or even week that you take them, so yes it is possible that you are pregnant. Some pills are only effective against pregnancy after 7 days only if you started taking them the first sunday after you start your period.....other wise it takes 30 days for them to be effective against pregnancy. The instructions and the doctor that prescribed them for you should have told you how long top use additional method or prevnetion. So like I said no one can tell you if you are or are not pregnant. Wait until you are late for your period and test again. Good luck.
