Am I implanting or is this my period?

sg9
Okay, first, my last period started Feb 27-28 and it lasted like three-four days. I had protected sex on March 15. My period is kinda irregular and I don't really count how many days till the next one starts, but I know it still comes around the last week of every month. So this month, I was expecting it to come around the same time as last month, but I got waaay later. It started yesterday, and I'm on it now. I mean, I think I am. I started freaking out because it's really late, and it never comes on the last day of the month.

I "think" I'm on my period because I am getting blood, but it's in dark red clots, and it's not as "flowing" as my other periods are. And when it first started yesterday, it was just brown. I started looking up reasons online to why that could be, and I keep getting symptoms of pregnancy and that the embryo is implanting or something. Is it too early for me to be experiencing symptoms? Although I noticed that my boobs look a little bigger, I'm not experiencing anything else but really, really painful cramps. I noticed my hips got wider like two weeks ago, but I thought that was just puberty (I'm 19).

Today, I have very painful cramps that are more sharp, but when I check my pad, it's not a lot of blood as I usually get. When I checked my pad yesterday, it was a lot. The dark clumps of red are still there though, and it seems like this "period" won't last too long.

I kinda concluded that my late period was because of my hips getting wider that could cause hormonal changes, but I think I can be pregnant too, so I'll just have to buy a preggo test to make sure.

May I have your opinions, please?

You should talk to a doc, implantation doesn't involve clots or painful cramping something else could be wrong.

When in doubt seel a doctor always. If you used protection that, and you have started a cycle somewhat on time I would think you're not pregnant. Implantation blood is usually very light, to just a touch of color. Clotting and flow I would assume are a regular cycle. Also remember some months are shorter than other so Feb 28th versus March 30  for starting dates seem okay. Sore breastfeeding and cramping are usually for a monthly cycle, my cramps got much worse when I was your age. If they are unbearable go see a doctor to get checked. If you are still worried about pregnancy I recommend getting a digital style test from the store. Good luck and keep using protection!
