Am I pregnant

Dear all,

I had been trying to conceive for the last 4 months without any luck. I have a 27 day cycle usually with a variance of 1 day i.e. (26-28). After two months I went to a Gynecologist who put me on follic acid (regularly), LETROZOL (2.5) from the 2nd day of my period to the 6th day and progesterone supplement from the 18th day to the day when my period starts. Last month I took the medicine but there was no luck. This month I had my period on 4th December, started taking letrozole from the 2nd day. This month I was advised to take a follicular study. The result of the follicular study is given below :-

08th Day - 18.4
10th Day - 11.7
12th Day - 13.6
14th Day - 15.8
17th Day - 18.2 took hCG shot 5000 I.U.
19th Day - 17.6
21st Day - 19.7

On 23rd Day I started spotting in the evening, first reddish then pink and brown. I stopped taking progesterone supplement as I thought that my period has started. On 24th the spotting continued till evening and then it stopped. On 25th there is no spotting but there is a white discharge which I usually have before my periods. Today is 27th and there is no spotting but the white discharge is continuing. Today I am having low back pain.

My Gynecologist is confused, she is not trusting the follicular study report. She has advised me to take HPT. My next period is due tomorrow.

Please help me in this scenario, I am very much tensed. I do not know If I am pregnant or not. Could this be implantation spotting.

Please guide me, what should I do?

I went to see my Gyno on 01/01/2011 evening and showed her the HPT results. She said it is positive. She put me on progesterone supplement 100mg, twice daily and follic acid. Another tab for the vomiting tendency that I presently having. My appetite has increased and  feeling hungry.

She has asked me to call her up after 10 days. Will update about the further developments.

Ok can anyone help me i had breakthrough bleeding on 21/12/2010 that went away 25/12/2010 have extremley sore boobs,they feel quite warm and tingly and belly feels quite bloated have had loss of appetite am i sick or pregnant???My periods not due till 8/1my dr said to see if period comes and if not to test about 12/1 does this sound familiar to anyone???

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 to all of you. Yesterday my gyno was busy, she has asked me to conduct another HPT today and visit her in the evening. I had already conducted the HPT today and the result is positive again. Today the mark is darker then the yesterdays one.

Thanks for your response. Today I had called my Gyno and said her the results. She says that I am pregnant and asked me to visit her today evening. Let me see what she has in store for me. I will keep you all posted about further developments.

At ten days after the hcg shot it should no longer be in your system. Test again in a few days and if it is still positive than yes you are indeed pregnant or ask your gyno to do a repeat hcg beta blood test so she would check the hcg (pregnancy hormone) in your blood and then repeat it in 2 days to see if the level has doubled. It should double every 48-72 hours in a healthy pregnancy.

Today is the 28th Day, got a HPT, in the morning which showed me positive, do not know whether it is false positive or not.

Days are like years for me. Moreover the follicular study had made my gyn and me more confused. I will keep you posted. Tomorrow is the 28th day. I have never had my periods after 30 days.

I am not going for a HPT because of the hCG shot.

I am so sorry you are having to go through all of this to get pregnant.

You can have some spotting and still be pregnant, but because they are giving you medicine this can play around with your body also, so you will be very unsure. The only thing you can do to determine if you are pregnant is to do a test.
