Is it possible for your water to break even though you havent lost your mucus plug?

My Dr told me losing your mucus plus is not a sign of labor, it can happen weeks before labor (usually about two weeks) and that if I lose mine to not waste my time calling because it means nothing

I think it can. That's why some people have problems with leaking amniotic fluid. And losing mucus plug and water break are signs of labor but it doesn't have to happen in any particular order I don't think.

I'll be 39 weeks on Monday and I haven't lost my plug either  :(

Thank you. My water hasnt broken but im trying to make myself feel better with all these hopes lol. I havent lost my mucus plug and my baby hasnt dropped im 37weeks and 5 days and at the mo there are no signs of this baby comming :(

I want to say yes, but I'm really not sure.. If you think your water broke i would highly suggest going and getting checked to be sure.
