Anxiety

So I have a question for all you ladies. In the past I've had anxiety but only for a short time. It was during the time the I had moved to the big city and I was under a great deal of stress. Well I was doing great with the anxiety until last night. It wasn't a huge attack but enough to get my heart pumping. I woke up in the middle of the night and my heart was pumping and I had to calm myself down with breathing and a glass of water.

Is this harmful to my little peanut? I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have experienced some light headedness and feeling faint but other than that I've been great. Help! What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you Joy! I'm trying to not stress out too much! I called my Dr. and let her know and she said as long as it didn't last for more than 30 min it was ok. Plus the amount of hormones that are going through my system can also trigger panic attacks! So all is well yay!

Congrats again to you Joy! :)

Anytime you feel something, a chemical reaction goes on in your body. So it is possible baby knew you were anxious, but it won't affect them in the sense that they'll be an anxious baby when they're born. We can't be perfect 100% of the time. We all worry and stress and fear and babies are born perfectly healthy. Take it easy, sweetie! I think your little one is fine.
