Anyone heard of this?

I am thinking of breastfeeding and today I talked to my mom and asked her if there was a reason she never breastfed none of her 7 children....she said it was because during her first pregnancy she read in a book that its possible to have an or gasm while breastfeeding and that she didnt wanna feel like a p edaphile while breastfeeding...is this true and has anyone ever experienced this? Because I thought that your uterus does contract while breastfeeding....which is what helps women to lose the belly faster??

And i want to add that it really wasnt that long ago that breastfeeding was not the norm! it had a bad rep as being dirty even then and not as good as formula... so id say thats another reason that our mothers were not as educated on the subject as we are today... it was probably easy for moms to believe that that would be a common occurance....

Im sure its possible... but im not sure how common it really would be? Prolactin and oxytocin are both released during breastfeeding. Prolactin stimulates the production of milk and is also known as the "mothering hormone" it gives you a feeling of relaxation and well-being and helps the mother bond with the baby:) Oxytocin causes the milk to be released into the milk ducts into the babies mouth... when the milk is released some experience a tingling sensation just prior... Oxytocin is also released during an orgasm and is responsible for pleasure contractions during the orgasm and also responsible for labour contractions(and the uterus contracting back down to size after delivery)... but there are different amounts of the hormone released for each...  I can honestly say ive never heard of a full on orgasm (id think its rare) and i wouldnt  associate it with being a p edaphile... i have read articles on woman saying breastfeeding feels good but not in the sexual sense...more in the rewarding loving sense, gives you an overall good feeling of satisfaction and love, but if breastfeeding didnt feel good then no one would want to do it(natures way of promoting it)... i have read where they use the word arousal but i really dont like that word i think its what leads it to be associated with sexual arousal and i think that makes it sound dirty.... and not all woman feel anything while nursing but just because one person doesnt feel the same as the next doesnt make it abnormal... everyone is different

I hope this makes sense? all and all i guess its possible but i also think like i said some articles use words that relate the rewarding mother bonding positive feeing as a sexual feeling again making it sound dirty... when its not in the same sense at all... as for those who may feel stronger feelings again i dont know how common that would be???

No I have never heard of that.... I think you are perfectly fine to breastfeed and not have a fear of that happening. Plus its very good for your babys health for you to breastfeed it!

I breast feed all three of my kids and plan on my fourth which is due in a few weeks . It's never happened to me. And never heard of it. It's a bonding moment with mother and child.

I've never heard of having an orgasm but yes it makes your uterus contract and that helps you lose weight
