Anyone who's been on Prometrium

I would appreciate any feedback.  Very quickly, since I went off the pill in August 2007, I suffered a m/c in December.  On 4/14 AF came on time (for the first time might I add) so I figured maybe my cycle will be regular.  Well it was from 4/14-4/18 and pretty much consisted of heavy spotting and barely any cramping (unusual for me).  Then on 4/26-5/1 - same thing!! So then I went to the OBGYN, after an u/s he believed that I wasn't ovulating.  So he put me on Prometrium 200mg for 12 days.  I started it on 5/2 and last night I began spotting.  Then today heavy flow (mostly dark brown and kinda gooey) and cramps.  I have 3 days left of the Prometrium (after today) and he had said I wouldn't start until 3-7 days after.  The whole idea of me taking this is to regulate my cycle (it was either this or birth control for 2 months, but he said since I an TTC to try this first).  Sooooo, my question is, has anyone started bleeding before finishing Prometrium??? I'm just confused because this would make bleeding for one week on, one week off, one week on, one week off and now a week later again!!  Just a little confused and any information would be helpful.

I really hope you still check this site. I know it's been a long time since your post and I was so wondering how Everything turned out for you. I had a very similar problem and it hasn't resolved itself. I m/c in July and bleed every over week. I was given the birth control pills then nothing. I went 42 days without a cycle so my dr put me on prometrium 400mg for 5 days. I took them on a Tuesday night and started Wednesday night but my question is will this be the end of the crazy irregular cycles? What happened for you?

Thanks, the problem is I haven't been on a regular cycle since I went off the pill in August, so if that's the case then technically I would have been 2 days early.  I guess only time will tell.

yeah but if your body already had it in the plan for you to start on a certain day then that's why you did....you should always have the same amount of days from O to AF but you can have any # of days from AF to O

Well the reason I was starting Prometrium is to regulate my cycle and hopefully start OV'ing, but I was under the impression that I would start AFTER I was done especially since I've been going back and forth with bleeding for the past 3 weeks.

Sorry I don't have any info on this situation.  I also took it in the beginning of my pregnancy to make sure I had enough progesterone to sustain it.  But I haven't taken it any other time.

I was put on 400mg a day to keep me from a m/c since I wasn't producing my own. I don't know anything about taking it to ttc.  I ended up with a missed m/c at 10 wk So it did it's job at keeping me preg even after the baby died.
