Ivory - I think that could be normal. But I do want to caution that I took a blood test after a full cycle and it came back negative that I was not preggo. I started provera again because my period was 4 days late and I didn't think I was going to start on my own. About 3 days into the provera I started having spotting and ab/back pain. It ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. If your symptoms get worse over time, if you start spotting, or show up + on an opk while on the provera, go see your dr (or ER staff if the pain is super bad). But period like symptoms should be fairly normal when on provera.
Just started taking Provera. This is my third day on it. Still bleeding heavy to lightly. I went in to see the doctor they did a blood and urine test. Everything came back normal i wasn't pregnant. My doctor said my estrogen levels were low. So he prescribed Provera 5 mg for 7 days. The 2nd day i was on it i was having really bad abdominal pain and back pain. I know some of the side effects are back and abdominal pain but after about an hour they went away. Should i be concerned about this is it it normal for women to have these symptons while takin this medication.
I started ovulating on my own after the provera. I used it in January and at that time I did not come on for 2 months.I had 3 more pills left to take before I came on, so I did not need the rest, My doc told me to call back if I did not get my period after I finished taking the meds. The med for me had me with side effects and that was horrible, but I hope that it works for you and maybe you won't have to use clomid . See what it does for a couple of month before trying the clomid. Ever since i took the provera I haven't had anymore problems. Good luck.
I haven't started clomid (due to go to the doctor next week for it) but I did take provera in March (no period on my own for 6 months) but I didn't start ovulating on my own for another 3 months. Usually they won't even put you on clomid until you have a few bouts of no periods or have been trying for at least a year, depending on your age. I finally had a period on May 27th- June 2nd and got a positive opk today. You always run the chance of having false positives on opks too when you go long periods without AF (I had 3 in 2 months that were false). Take whatever advice your docs can give you and run with it. I also started AF the day after my last provera pill and I was also on 10 mg. I hope this helps you.
