At the hospital

Hello ladies, I just wanted to check in and update everyone. As some of you know I posted yesterday about having some "pinching" in the area where my cerclage is and some pressure. Well, I came in yesterday evening just to get checked and make sure everything was ok (which it was, cervix long, firm, closed, stitch in tact with no pressure) and they admitted me because I was contracting every 1-3 mintutes on the monitor. They gave me IV fluids, indocin, and morphine, and got the contractions stopped last night, but they started up again this morning. Once again this morning they were able to get them to stop with meds, but now I have to stay at least another night to be monitored. Better safe than sorry I guess... but man do I miss my bed and my kiddos!
The good thing is the baby seems to be just fine, and they think that these contractions are just an irritable uterus because they aren't changing my cervix and they are responding so well and quickly to meds...
Anyway, thanks again to all who gave me advice yesterday! I will update everyone when I get home!

I'm home!! Contractions have stopped, and the u/s showed that my cervix is still long and closed with no funneling. They also finished the anatomy scan on the baby and everything looks good. I am on restricted activity, no heavy lifting, only light house work, etc... until tomorrow when I see my Dr. again.
So glad to be home, but I'm really gonna be taking it easy for a while.
Thanks again ladies for all of your support!!

Thanks ladies! I'm hoping to be discharged this morning, they took me off the monitor last night, I'm a little confused though, because between the high risk MFM Dr's that have been coming in to see me, the Dr's in the practice that I go to doing their rounds, and the residents, it seems like they are all saying something different LOL!
From what I can understand I think that they are going to do an u/s to check and make sure that there is no dialation or funneling, then hook me back up to the monitor for about 30 minutes to check on baby and make sure that I'm not contracting anymore, and then if all that is good I can go home. Still not sure what level of restrictions will be... guess I'll get a better idea of that when I see my Dr at my follow up appt on Thurs.
Anyway, I will keep you all posted as soon as I know more!
