Ativan during early pregnancy...worried...

Hi, I am hoping that you can help me... I just got the results of my HCG lab test that I had done yesterday.. According to this, I am somewhere between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant. I really dont understand this because I took a pregnancy test on the 6th of October, 3 weeks ago, and it was negative. Supposedly I would have been about 2 weeks pregnant then, so wouldnt that have shown up on the test?

Anyway I am just kind of worried now because I have been taking Ativan (0.5 mg) quite a bit to help me sleep.. I only just stopped it a few days ago when I found out I was pregnant.. I am worried now about the effect it could have had on the baby now that I know I am 5 to 6 weeks along... I would appreciate any advice you can give me on this. Thanks for your help!

Thanks smiles. Well I have very irregular periods so I was testing quite a bit.. but apparently not enough!

I am not sure what to tell you.. I would ask a doc.. I would think that it is ok bc you are not that far along I just would not use it anymore... Best of luck to you!!!

Did you have a missed period, that made you take a test?
