BAD CRAMPS 12 days after period?

I started my af on 12/27, and today (12 days later) i am having really bad cramps in my middle lower abdomen, which is very unusual. I never have cramps after my af. what could this be?  Ovulation?  Or just meaningless cramping?

I also hear, that you cant really rely on your cervical position and texture.  That can change for every women.  It can sometimes be low, high soft or firm. All this sounds too complicated. I am just going to assume that i will be ovulating soon, and maybe this cramping is a sign. Did I say the cramps were very bad!  Holy ****, i am in so much pain.

Well I don't have any CM and haven't since I gave birth in March. Lack of CM does not mean you are not ovulating, but it does make it more difficult to figure out when to BD!!!!!! I think I was ovulating last night (I'm about to post a question about it) so we BDed but I didn't have CM on the TP.

Having CM is important for fertility, though, because it helps the sperm to survive (another way of God's intricate work in our bodies! SO COOL!).

A firm cervix usually means it it still closed or may be beginning opening. You should get some CM soon. You're probably not ovulating just yet, based on what you said about your cervix!

Thanks.  Well, this pain is a good thing. The big O is approaching.  Do you think its normal not to have the watery, wet, slippery mucus?  Should I have that?  My cycle, this cycle seems all out of whack. Ever since my m/c, things have been off. I mean, I got my af 4 weeks after my m/c. Right on time. My periods seem normal, except last month. I got my af in 30 days.  ANd that is really late for me.  Could i be ovulating without the normal CM.  My cervix is medium/low and is a bit firm.  Not sure if any of this is supposed to change during this time.

I really trust mayoclinic, so check out their site. Something called Mittelsmirtz. Pain during ovulation. Hope that helps!
