Party city is of course a good place. But I'm planning on going to the 99 cent store and dollar tree to get all the stuff that way I can get every little decorative thing and it won't be expensive. Love that store

I threw my own but my dad was the "host" just since he paid for it and it was at his old house(has 2 houses). I did all the planing and my mother help me set things up. I got alot of things I needed for baby.

My theme was blue and black. I had zoo animals that were blue, mommy to be banner, and it's a boy banner. Balloons, cutouts. lots of stuff. Lol partycity.com had some good kits.

A friend threw a party for herself late in pregnancy, but she noted on the invitation that she didn't want gifts.  It was a nice way for her to connect with her friends before the baby came, and she didn't suffer the stigma of looking like she was angling for material items by asking people to the party.
