Baby name help...

So I posted a poll a while back about Mackayla Brielle, and DH doesn't like Brielle as a middle name or Mackayla as a first name, SO we're back to square one kinda. He brought up the name Angelina Michelle the day before yesterday, but it sounds a little too long for me...AND I'm not big on the nickname "Angel".  So I need help again...

*I* like Mackayla (not sure if that's how we'd spell it) as a first or middle name if we can find something to go with it. We're not too big on common names. but don't want to go to crazy odd either. HELP!!! LOL.

I told DH I'm gonna have her on Nov 30, but I think I've changed my mind...the day we decide on a name, I'll go into labor, lol.

we've got a McKayale Jae - but most of the time we call her Kayla or McKay.

I like Makayla or Mikalya and for a middle name Anecia pronounce ah-knee-c-ah
you could spell it a variety of ways
just a hint my daughters name is Kayla Destani! I love the name kayla or makayla! lol

I think Mackayla is a cute name!! I alos love Ariana, Rayela & Brielle! Although Mackayla is a common name i still think its pretty. But you hardly ever hear Ariana, Rayela & Brielle. Theres a girl on here who named her baby Ariana and thats the only person i know of to name their baby that. I like the uncommon names more.

DH just told me he likes Ariana. I thought he didn't like it, but he didn't suggest it to me because he thought I wouldn't like it.

I was trying to help my cousin name her baby girl and I came across the name Alivia...kinda like Olivia but cuter ha!

I remember a few of the girl names I was considering when I was pregnant were Ella, Kiera, Carys, and Laurel.

That's been the hard part...finding something that goes with our last name. I personally think something with an "a" at the end, or an "a" sound would be best for a first name...

I love the name Amelia! Also, I know someone who named her daughter Alena or Alina (not sure how she spelled it.) My friend named her daughter Viviana and they call her Vivi. There are so many cute girl names! The trick is finding something that goes with the last name. Good luck!

AnnieBrooke~ We never discussed spellings, so far every name has just been verbal.

LosingMyMindInGA~ I'm not really a fan of the Angelina stuff either...


This is so frustrating, WHY does it have to be SO stinkin hard to pick a name? I'm just gonna add a few random names that I see and sound ok (first or middle) to the list and see if you ladies can help me out...SO FAR...

I like Mackayla.  But I'm partial to it, it's my oldests middle name and I spell it the same way...the only difference is a capital K "MacKayla"   I'm not a fan of Angelina or Angel or Angie or anything like that.

Angelina Marie is the name of my neice(sp) And we call her Lina as a nickname. Love the name angelina.

Mackayla is, I think coming more of a common name these days....

I love love love the name Farrah, if only I could have a girl....

Does he have a problem with the sound or the spelling of Mackayla?  (In other words, if it were Michaela, would he like it better?  Something about the "Mack" in the front might bother some men, who would find it masculine sounding.)  Are there other "A" names that he would accept for the first name, like Ariana or Ava?  They would go with Michelle.
