from a brit, gavin's pretty common here and is always shortened to gav. cole's still my fave, but you're mummy and mummy knows best what name he should have.

I REALLY like Carter...especially with the middle and last name.  Carter Michael MacCullum sounds very handsome...I can see lots of girls in the future scribbling that name on a notebook, lol...

I like the name Gavin. It flows really well with either of the middle names and your last name. I would personally try to avoid too much sound repetition, like too many mmmm's and cccc's. Carter would definitely be my #2 choice though :)

We really liked Cole but now i am really leaning towards Carter. I think Carter sounds very "handsome". We have a 3-d pic and when i look at it i just can't say Cole. It's funny Gavin is getting so many votes, its the bottom of our list

It looks like every one seems to like Gavin or Cole, but those seem like fairly common names for this day in age. Not that common is bad, but that I would something that isn't heard quite so often. And the name Max doesn't seem to say very much. For some reason...that name Carter sounds really adorable! It's not a name you hear very often and, considering this little boy is going to grow into a man oneday, it provides him a bit of sophistication :-)

Cole is best with your surname (from a Brits point of view lol) Max in 2nd then Gavin and then Carter (however i love this name loads for a boy and considering it myself)

I love Gavin, but Gavin MacCullum sounded a little too "rhyme-y" to me.  Anyway, I voted for Cole. Cute, and can't be shortened!

Allen will most likely be the middle name (dh's middle name) or michael (my dad's middle name)
