Hopefully it's nothing... like a couple other people have mentioned, maybe she just got spooked or something. So when you left the hospital/L&D, they didn't say anything to you about what it could have been (or your doctor at least should have discussed some of the possibilities of what the problem might have been)? I know that with this being my first pregnancy, I have been overly paranoid about a lot of little things and I will not hesitate to call my doctor to ask questions... if you feel comfortable doing it, you might feel better to call your doctor back and explain that the heartrate did go back down at the hospital, but you're still curious what might have caused the increase in the first place (they should at least be able to give you some idea... I would think). Either way, good luck... at least you have that appointment Monday.
that seems SO high! could the doctor possibly have somehow counted wrong?? it's good that you have your own dopler. i would say that as long as she is still doing her usual swirms and kicks, you are probably fine. did the doctors say anything about what it could be?
I will be sure to ask on Monday. I just keep thinking that something is terribly wrong? I have my own doppler so I can monitor it at home just to see what it is like until Monday. Then I will let you know what the doctor says.
I am not sure. The only advise I have to definitely ask at your appointment and keep us posted. That seems really high to me.. I will be thinking of you and make sure you post an update Monday.
i personally have never experienced this before... i know with my first pregnancy, my daughters heart rate would rise alot... but NEVER near 200. i would definately investigate this if i were you. its only happened once right? maybe the baby got scared for a second... heard a loud noise, and its heart rate increased?
She wasn't really moving around a lot. Just the normal squirmy-ness when the doctor is trying to find the heart rate. I hope everything is ok now. I go back on Monday. Should I ask her if we could possibly get another ultrasound on her heart just to make sure things are ok? I have tried looking on the internet for information but I can't find anything! After about an hour at the hospital, her heart rate went back down to the 140's. But it led me to remember lastnight that when I was seeing my other doctor, the baby's heart rate had been really high a few times too! I mean to the point where the doctor listened to it for about 15 minutes. I am defintiely going to mention it to my doctor on Monday. I just hope my little girl dosn't have a heart defect or anything. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? What made it happen? What did the doctor do about it?
hmmm.... maybe the baby was moving around a lot and it caused her heartrate to skyrocket. thats really strange, 200 is really high. is everything ok now?? i could see how that would scare the **** outta you!!
