Has anyone had it since they've been pregnant if so how did you know (symptoms if any) and how did they treat it???? Is it harmful to the baby???

I have it right now i went to my check up and peed in the cup and the nurse came back and said they found blood in my urine and that meant a uti. and if you don't take care of the uti it becomes a yeast infection and that causes a lot of discharge and itchynes and usually they give you Metronidazole to get rid of it. And if not taken care of it can become worse and could harm the baby

Its not harmful, but if you have it when yoyu deliver the baby can get thrush. I've had it twice now. They just give you pills to take

I have it and found out through the swab testing at my first appt. I was prescribed flagyl but was told it can make me feel sick even with food. I'm a little scared to take it as I already have severe nausea now. At first I didn't have any symptoms but by 9 weeks I was itchy, had burning when I pee, and had a lot of greenish discharge.

I got it with my last pregnancy and i knew because it was a strange smell down dere so yea i had bv and i took antibiotics for 7 days went away but would come bck .. It also made me bleed sometimes but nothing to worry about ..

I'm in the process of changing doctors I'm not sure if I have it but all I know is that something isn't right down there :(

I honestly don't remember what they gave me I'm sorry :( but you can take cranberry pills after getting rid of your infection to help prevent them in the future

And yes thick discharge is a symptom plus itching. And bv can cause pre mature labor during pregnancy. And it is very common in pregnancy. Numerous things can cause it. It is an imbalance of bad bacteria. Nothing to be ashamed of tho :) have you talked to your dr?

Had it right before I got pregnant. I went to the dr because my discharge increased and it had an odor. They prescribed me pills. But other then that no other symptoms. It varies person to person.

Was the discharge thick and white??? Did itching occur??? And was it swollen down there???

I have got it three times with this pregnancy so far. They gave me antibiotics. I never had any symptoms. I was surprised i even had the infection.

I had it the pills i got were nasty left a metal taste in my mouth.. the only symptom i had was lots a discharge...

I had some cramps when I had it around ten weeks but I also had a uti. I just took some pills and I was fine in like a week.

Its normal to get while pregnant...i get it constantly while pregnant and not at all when im not....its not harmful really to baby just is like bacteria down there, u get it usualy from scented soaps and body washes or just change in your hormones and discharge....they usualy give u pills u take for 6-7 days

I didn't have symptoms but I had it at first I don't think it is harmful at all it is just a bacterial infection and my Dr. Gave me antibiotics called flagyl and it went away.
