Try eating more bananas. They help with leg cramps. But I've heard that leg cramps at night are normal once you reach a certain point in the pregnancy. Some women just get it worse than others. I hope they back off for you soon!
I can relive the pain temporarily til it comes back, I got them when I was little often. They are hell! It's not likely restless leg. That's one thing my mom asked the dr when I was little at that point the dr wrote it off as I wasn't drinking enough water, but he said rls doesn't give the kind of cramps I was/am getting. I drink plenty of water everyday, one thing I considered was over hydration? Everything I've read is in pregnancy it's usually caused by calcium deficiency. I drink silk which has more calcium than milk plus prenatals. Maybe this can help someone else but it's not likely it's the cause of my issue.
That's interesting.. I never paired my nightly leg cramps as a symptom to being pregnant. I definitely get them more often than I ever did.. I will accidentally stretch out my legs in my sleep and they cramp right up and I just roll my ankles and move my legs till the muscles loosen. Definitely a wake up call I'm wide awake after they strike, owee!!
Omg yes they are terrible, I use to get them very often before I hit 30wks. Sometimes even both legs in one night, I would wake up crying & my boyfriend wakes up & rubs my leg really fast & it makes it go away faster, but it feels like my muscles are being twisted :( it is such a horrible feeling!
It's restless leg syndrome it's very common in pregnancy I found best way to get rid of it is massage it.
I get them too, it is common, especially in the 3rd trimester, have you tried heat packs? Having a warm bath can help too, maybe even putting pillows under you ankles when lying down. Im still trying to figure out how to help them myself
Yes i get leg cramps they hurt(-_-) mostly in my calf and in the middle of the night!! Idk why we get them dou
