Big baby

okay so I went for an ultrasound today, according to my DR I am due August 17th which puts me at 27 weeks today.
however the baby was measuring at 28 weeks 6 days and weighs 2 lbs 14 oz ( giving me a possible new due date of August 4th according the ultrasound tech ) .......I won't hear back from my DR til Monday on if there is nay concerns about this.....but I was wondering if anybody else had this and should I be concerned??

I had a ultrasound tuesday at 31w1d and the tech said my baby weighs about 4 1/2 pounds and measures about a week ahead and I asked if that changes my due date and she said it didnt change it at all

My due date is also Aug 17! :) My last ultrasound was back in March so I have no clue what the measurements are now...Congrats on the pregnancy!

Im due August 17 :) but I was wondering why did u have an ultrasound this late?? My last one was April so im kinda jealous lol

At 26 weeks this one was weighing 3lbs already. Don't worry about it, as long as baby is growing and his organs are developing its all good :) my oldest was born at 36 weeks and weighed 9lbs even lol

And despite all my health problems with that pregnancy I did not have gestational diabetes which very well could have been the cause of his weight HAD I had it.

Goodness! 9 lbs at 36 wks?? That kid woulda been a 12 pounder at 40!

If u do have a big baby then u will probly have ti have a c-section because u peobs wont b able to deliver vaginally! but weight can vary they can never really tell how much it ways till u have it

I measured a couple weeks bigger at the end of my pregnancy. Baby was nine pounds :) induced at 39 weeks. Not terribly uncommon :)

That happen to me.i should be 27w2d with due date aug 18.but with my last ultrasound my ob said 29w with due date july 27.cause my baby big.but i don't have gestasional diabetes.i confuse too..

Thanks :) you guys helped my mind to be at ease...thankfully I don't have gestational diabetes otherwise I would be super worried..... I had an ultrasound so late because at my last one in April the baby was being difficult and wouldn't let the tech get a good look at it's heart to make sure it look normal so my DR had me wait a few weeks before they tried again and this time they got the clear shot they wanted so hopefully everything looks good.
