Birth Control and Penicillin

Ok, I have been on birth control for awhile now and there were a couple of months where I had forgotten to take a pill sometimes but I otherwise took them every night but not always at the same time, within a couple hours each night. I got an infection in my gums and my dentist prescribed me penicillin. I was supposed to take 4 pills (500mg) everyday at different times but I did not always remember. I should have finished them in 10 days but it has been 2 weeks and I am just finishing them. I took my birth control every night but at the beginning of my pack I had sex several times. We did not use condoms but he pulled out and did not finish in me. We have always done it this way. The other day I had sex again and it was on the 11th day of my pills. I only have 1 week left of my pills. I have read that peniciliin can affect my b/c pills but then I have read that it doesn't. He did not do any of that in me. I told him ahead of time about penicillin and how it may have an affect on the pill but he did not seem too worried. What should I believe? There are so many different answers that I don't know what to think.

I have been on penicillin and taking the bc pill and i have had sex and worried about being pregnant. I also missed a pill as well and the same night had sex...... can i be pregnant?

Antibiotics can prevent the birth control pill from working - this is a well-known, and established fact.  Failure to take the birth control pill as directed (even if just missing one pill here or there) is what attributes to the failure rate of the pill.

You can take Plan B up to 72h after the incident.  If you are outside that window, a HPT will be accurate about 2 weeks after unprotected intercourse.

I have a 10 year old in the next room thanks to birth control and antibiotics. It's always best to just lay off or use condoms when your taking anything. You could always take a pregnancy test if you are unsure.

My cousin got pregnant on the pill when she was taking antibiotics. I don't know if they used the pull out method, but it doesn't matter pre ejaculate contains sperm and you can get pregnant on the pill without taking any medication, it's not 100% effective.
