Birth control after birth?

I only have a few weeks left I'm 35 weeks this Thursday and doctors are thinking he's gonna come early. I want to get in birth control after I have the baby because sometimes we just can't get the right condoms for us. (I am either allergic to the material or lube or they don't fit him). We will use condoms or he will pull out most of the time while I'm on birth control. Anyway we have talked about different ones to use for me. I kinda like the idea of the rod in my arm cause that'll last for awhile and I don't have to worry about it. Have any of you gone on that? If so what happened to you? When I tried the pill (I tried different pills) I was always in my period it seemed and they made me sick. So I wanna try something else and I don't really trust something up my vagina. Let me know what worked for you after baby include side effects stuff like that and what didn't work for you. Thank you

I don't want something were I will be bleeding for a year straight again. I had that happen with the pills and depo. I got so sick I had to go to the dr and get medicine until I finally had enough.

A friend of mine got the rod in her arm. It bruised pretty bad, but healed up pretty good. She hasn't complained about it or anything and she said it wasn't that bad getting it. She likes it.

I also tried the Nuva Ring, which was very uncomfortable and the patch, which kept falling off. I wish I had something more positive to tell you, but I have had bad luck with everything.  I have also heard horror stories about Mirena,  which goes in your uterus, because it can move and cause major complications.

The injection you are talking about is Depo Provera. I don't like it at all.  It's supposed to get rid of your period, but I was always spotting, which was worse than a period, because you never knew when it was going to happen.  It also causes weight gain.

What about the injection in your bum every 3 month you don't have a period either I'd rather that than something in my arm heard too many horror stories about that
