Bleeding during intercourse?!

Hello,
My husband and I didn't realize I was bleeding during intercourse until afterwards and we were washing off. It wasn't a ton of blood but I would say with to soak a thin panty liner.

I felt absolutely no pain or cramping during or after. I haven't had any spotting like that and I am 6 wks and 3 days. The only time I spotted was a week ago and it was so light I thought nothing of it. Probably just uterus moving around.

has bleeding during intercourse happened to you? Should I be worried?

Thank you! Im thinking its probably just the cervix like you said. I am not spotting any more. It was just after sex.  Im going to wait it out some more and if nothing changes, I wont call my dr.

If you're concerned, it keeps happening, you get more bleeding without sex, or you don't feel irritated and swollen "down there," go ahead and call your doctor. It's always possible that you could use a hormone boost, usually a progesterone suppository. This happened with my mom but it isn't as common.

Most likely it's your cervix. That general area swells up with a lot of blood during pregnancy and it's not unusual for women to bleed a little after sex.

You're at 6 weeks, so cramping is to be expected. Usually it's just your body moving things around to fit a baby in.

Things to watch out for are heavy bleeding (like a pad every hour or two), or a red flow that looks like your period, with or without clots; fever with or without headache, chills, nausea and vomiting; severe cramping in your lower abs that makes you pretty much double over; passing any sort of tissue, usually greyish or pink; or a sharp, stabbing pain on one side around your ovary. These can all signal a problem and should be reported to your doctor.

Well we did use lube but now I AM starting to cramp. I'm hoping that's just a coincidence. It feels like normal cramping, nothing excruciating. I guess ill have to wait and see.

I had it in my last pregnancy, and I was told it was just irratation of your vagina. Make sure you are fully ready when you have sex and if you don't get wet enough use lube.
