Blood clot in the uterus

I had an episode two nights ago where I started having a gush of blood flowing. I went to the ER and they told me the cervix was closed and the baby was fine. I went to my doctor yesterday and they told me I have a blood clot on my uterus and there's nothing I can do about it but get proper rest. I'm 7wks pregnant, will the blood clot go away?

I had the same thing right around 11 weeks. very scary. i am now 18 1/2 weeks with no problems. Dr. told me that most of the time our bodies just absorb them without us ever knowing they were there. i was just one of the lucky ones who had it burst and scare the crap out of me.

They might have told her it was a blood clot because that was easier to understand then a hematoma if u dont know medical jargon...i had one too and its common..they either bleed out or reabsorb in body by 20 weeks...the hazard is that if your cerxix did open the blood can pull the amniotic sac out along with it cauding miscarriage..
