Blood clots...advice please

K its been almost 2 weeks since alexander has arrived, and i was wondering if it is normal to be passing lots of clots. It seems as though i have been losing alot of blood, and its not just little clots all the time, they can get fairly big. Is this normal or should i be worried? Thank you

I bled for 4 weeks and I remember distinctly passing 2 clots, one of them not quite the size of my palm. I freaked out of course and called the midwife, and she said it was completely normal. But I would def. ask when you go to your appt. You sound fine though. It feels like it will go on forever...but it will stop soon! Congrats again on the lil bundle!!! =)

It's normal for just having a baby.  It's just the left over stuff from being pregnant.  Just as long as it's not bigger then your palm, that is true.  Usually some people can bleed up to 6 weeks after having a baby!  So just bare with it, it'll stop eventually!  :)

The clot warning goes for any and all vaginal bleeding. They say it is normal to pass clots so long as they aren't bigger than a quarter I believe, or maybe golf ball, I havent had a period in 3 years so i forget.

If it's making you that worried you can call your OBGYN and just give them a heads up. You may be having a normal or trying to be normal period, which would be normal to have all the clots.

If you start feeling weak, run a fever, or suffer from constant dry mouth, I would call your doc asap.
