Blood work Test Results

I've so confused lately about my test results. I finally had went to see my OB/GYN and he sent me for blood work and the screening to see how the baby is. When he did the ultrasound he told me that the baby was fine. So here's my question. WHEN YOU GET YOUR BLOOD WORK DONE FOR ANY SIGNS OF STD'S OR SEE IF THE BABY HAS ANY TYPE OF COMPLICATIONS. DOES THE DOCTOR USUALLY MAKE YOU WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT APPT OR DOES HE CALL AND LET YOU KNOW??? My first and second pregnancy was right in the office. Please help. I'm worried =(

Usually, they won't notify you if everything looks good from the blood tests.  If they detect any problems, they will call you - - - otherwise, they will confirm that the results were fine at your next appointment.  Personally, I hate waiting, so I would call a couple of days after the test and make sure they were fine.
