Breast tenderness

The last week my breasts have been extremely tender.  I can't even sleep on my belly because they hurt so much.  I've heard that it could be due to pregnancy or just my period.  I've never felt like this before a period though.  My husband and I are trying for a baby.  He thinks I'm just wanting a baby so bad that I'm making it up.  I'm not feeling any other symtoms of pregnancy so I'm starting to wonder if he's right.  I'm expecting my period in a few days.  My last was December 11th.  So I havent bothered with a test yet.  Probably too soon.  Weird thing is before a period I always have cramps...this time, no cramps at all.....is all this normal?

Good luck hunnie - SENDING YOU STICKY BABY DUST - I'm in the same situation kinda - I'm expecting my next period early next week or this weekend and after 7 days (including half of today) of having dull afternoon headaches like clockwork - I noticed this evening that my breasts were sore - I never touch my breasts much and they are kinda big (sorry tmi) and I bent over a little to pet my puppy and all of a sudden they hurt - I stood up and lifted my shirt up and I've got these tiny bumps on my nipples (don't know what they are sorry if I'm not calling them by their name) and my fiance walked in the room and said wow your boobs are huge (which I took the wrong way).  Now that I've been sitting around I noticed if I move a certian way they HURT.  I've never experienced this before because I never get this before my period - I'll be testing next week some time.

And yes I highly recommend getting the digital pg test (SO MUCH EASIER).

Thanks so much for the advice!  I'm going to wait a few days and take the test.  Wish me luck!  I'll keep you posted!  ;o)

I am in almost the exact situation as you!!! My last period was Dec. 17th and we are a week away from taking a HPT (hoping & praying for a +++!!!). My breasts are sore & sensitive beyond belief; I can barely even sleep. I have been wearing a supportive bra to bed and it helps a bit. I usually have MILD breast sensitivity before my period, but nothing like this. I also have occasional tingling and mild sharp sensations in them for the past few days. I had an early mc in mid-November, and I did not have any breast sensitivity w/that pregnancy. So I'm hoping maybe its a sign of a healthy pregnancy?? I wish you luck, and wish me luck too! :)

ps - I would highly suggest spending the money on the Clear Blue Easy Digital test. So easy, so fast, and you don't have to decode the lines yourself!! But since they're so expensive, I'd wait to test until the day you expect your period.

I would test sounds like u r prolly preggo thats how I found out I was pregnant the first time but i m/c and the second pregnancy (which im now like 16 weeks) I had it really bad. I never had breast tenderness prior to my peroids so test and let us know!!! BABY DUST TO U

If you never get the tender breasts prior to your period, you are probably pregnant!!  Keep in mind that Dec. is a long month, so it very well may not be to early to test.  I don't know how long your cycles usually are though.

My breasts never get tender before my period, thats why I was wondering if its normal.  Even my nipples are kinda sore.  A friend of mine just had a baby and said before she found out she was pregnant hers were really tender and were never tender before her period.  Thats why I'm getting excited hoping I'm pregnant!

Sounds like me! I get tenderness slightly before my period. Before I found out I was preggo it started a few days earlier then normal...and just got worse and worse, I would beat the **** out of my bf if he touched them!(not literally) So i thought I was getting my period but i never started to bleed! I tested the day after it was due, very faint positive and me being me...didnt know thats a positive. So I got some more tests (the digital kind yay!) and two days later I got my BFP! Good luck!

Do you normally have breast tenderness prior to your period?  If so, is it the same intensity??  Before I had my 1st child, I would get slight breast tenderness right before my period, so when I started having that with him, I thought I was getting ready to start my period.  After I was about a week late, I took a test and it was positive.  But the breast tenderness got much worse than anything I experience premenstral.  I hear that with EPT tests you can get a + result up to 5 days before your period.  Many women on here have but if you want a cheaper test, you may just want to wait and see if you miss your period.  You can also purchase tests from the $ store so you could get more than one.  Good luck!!
