Breech Baby. :(

I know I only posted Yesterday about BH contractions.. (I am an unlucky one who has off the scale BH contractions :(...) by 5 pm last night they were every 4 mins?? But my test  came back neg about me going into labour within 10 days Soooo yeah..

As you know Cassie is 29 weeks and 4 days pregnant now, and well yesterday I found out Harry is breech :(... Does he have plenty of time to turn...
I read that babies are / can be breech, because the comfort of the mothers heart beat and voice,.. and there are many ways to turn the baby, like ICE cold peas on the top of your stomach cause they move away from the cold, shining a light (although not sure where to shine it??) AND playing music at the bottom of your uterus so they follow that??

How do you yourself know where baby's head is because I got arms and legs going everywhere and I cant tell what is what? And I really dont want him breech!! Can he turnn?? Cause I got a weird feeling at the top now, like kicks but it could be punches, I dunooo...

Thanksss

xx

No my previous post was about my BH contraactionss haha :)

Nah he is breech now, but he was head down last week, snd I really thought he would be gooood and stay like that,,, but NOOO just like his dad and has to be annoying and turn!
I am going to do the All fours, Breech Tilts and the Music thing everydayy untill I go into labour hahaha,.. But its not music that made him wriggle yesterday when I tried first it was the sound of Johns voice... so I have to play a recording of Johns voice to the bottom of my uterus hahaha.

I am gonna askk for stufff to be done if he doesnt turn like the version and stuff...

Did not se this post before, you need to go to spinning babies web site, they talk about how to turn babies and all the things that can be done.

I see he is heads down now:) My little one was breech from very early on and I crawled on all fours for an hour every night and he turned after the first time but I kept doing it for a week to make sure he stayed that way!

you can deliver a breech baby, they just watch the heart rate to see the cord does not come out first or get compressed, if that happens he has to be pushed out fast or c-section but that is rare that the cord does that. THey can tell by US where is is before he is born and if he is a low station (where the heads sits in the pelvis) then it is less likly that will happen.

I'm 25.5 weeks and baby is breech too. I had a feeling bc I was feeling really strong kicks down low and sure enough I was right those were kicks. I figured I won't worry about it till the end of my pregnancy. My cousins baby was breech last yr and she did the version and it did work but baby flipped back right away so they scheduled a csection and then the morning she came in for the csection baby was head down so they induced her so she could get baby out before she turned back again.

Taylor was breech my whole pregnancy. We had a scheduled u/s at 37 weeks and she turned head down the night before!! Im glad she flipped becuase I went into labor 2 days later, so I woulda probably had a c/s if she was still breech:~(I got lucky but it does sometime happen late or at the last minute. Babies also have alot of room at 29 weeks. Little Harry has time to get settled head down:)

I think there are excersises and positions you can do in order to help him go head down. Look into it but he still has lots of time to move down still!!

Ohhh... Not that bad then, Ive had that before.... with my thingy last year, they had to turn her whilst I was awake then induce me and givee me other meds then I had my 6 hrs of contractions then put to sleep.... then took her out.. :(, I miss her!

And I had that cervix checker thingy where they open you up to check you or when you have a smear or something sooo I know what that feels like too... I had it yesterday hahahah.

I am really hoping he turns because I really wanna deliever naturally, and if they mention a work begining with C, ill be like NOPE, I want you to try and turn him first.

But I got time, i'll stopp worrying, I didnt think he would turn so it was a shock type thingg!! But I know he has time and now I know its not really painful to turn him either!

Not really. They just kinda push down and rub your stomach putting pressure behind the head until the baby gets uncomfortable and tucks it's head and rolls.

With the Version would the pressure be the same as having a spectum thingyy they use to check your cervix??

I do want a natural birth but if I NEED a c section I will, but I wont really feel the bond with a C section cause I duno... just wont seem special cause hes being yanked if that makes sense?

I will just have faith, and hope he will turn, if not, I will get a version and stop listening to the internet! LOL.

Thankss youu

My first daughter was breech and they gave her until 38 weeks to turn since at 38 weeks only like 3% of babies are breech. Its so early now I wouldn't even worry about it since Harry is going to flip around every which way for a while. However I would suggest getting the external version if he ends up still being breech. When I was pregnant with my first I felt that having a c-section would ruin the special moment of her being born and i refused to have to deal with the recovery time from a c-section. So despite all the horror stories of how painful versions are I went ahead and did one and all I can say is that all those stories are bullpucky. I felt a little pressure but it didn't hurt at all and it was over within 5 minutes. I also have the lowest pain tolerence so that is saying something. I stub my toe and i cry like it got broken. Moral of the story: internet usually gives the worst case scenario since people like to talk about how miserable things make them and when it works right they just go on with their life.

You may not be able to tell the difference between his head and butt right now anyways since he's still little. I couldn't tell really until I was 32-34 weeks that it's her feet in the top of my tummy. I'm just now 35 weeks today, so it hasn't been that long, BUT Elijah was breech from before 33 weeks on, so I have experience with BOTH, which might make it easier for me to tell, and honestly if I hadn't had the dr tell me she thinks the baby is head down at my last appointment, I don't know if I'd be able to tell 100% for sure until the last two weeks.

All I can really tell you as far as the difference is I only felt Elijah moving on my right side when he'd punch and this baby I feel her all over the place, left, right, top, front...

http://www.probertsolutions.    com/blogs/daniel      /PermaLink,     guid,be85b001-4054-4e51-95ec-fb6600b38f66.aspx

That's a link showing the three breech positions, Elijah was complete breech which is why I only felt his arms moving, so I'm really no help when it comes to what it feels like, cause Harry's legs could be in any of the three positions, and I only know what Complete breech feels like.

Honestly, I really wouldn't worry at all though. There's a certain point where babies turn to be head down, I can't remember at how many weeks, but you have a lot of time.

IF you end up having a c-section, yes they S*CK but they aren't THAT BAD. In the end as long as he's healthy, it doesn't matter how he comes out. BUT I am with you I don't want another c-section so I'm hoping this little girl and my body cooperate and I can have a vaginal birth. BUT if I end up with another c-section, yeah it's scary to me but she's more important than the way she arrives.

I was reading the percentage too,, and the fact its painful.. trying to flip...
I really want the chance to have a natural birth. Typical men always make things difficult!! LOL.. even if they aint even born yet!

As long as he can flip i'll be fine!! Just scared cause I dont want a c section :(.... ill keep trying the things I read, I see my midwife tomorrow at the Young Mums group.. so I could ask then, if not I have another apt on the 11th... soo yeah. But Its just scaryy..

Cass...
No need to worry about that now. I have heard of babies turning days before they are due. I have read about a technique called the "Breech Tilt". Look it up.

If my baby isn't turned correctly at around 37 weeks then I plan to get my acupuncturist to do some magic. But, the baby can always turn again. There is no controlling it really. You just have to hope for the best.

Well, not stressing when you can help it does help. So don't worry about things you don't need to worry about.

I can tell the difference between a breech baby and a head down baby now, but before I wasn't able to...I couldn't tell until I was further along. I think what my OB with Elijah said was past 37 weeks they can't really flip cause they don't have room, but I have heard of babies flipping when you're in labor, so I can't really say when. I just know at 33 weeks I got referred to a surgeon, and Elijah never flipped. I chose NOT to try flipping him, but that was my personal choice after looking it up and the percentage of success/failure and everything else.

BUT like I said, he has plenty of time to flip so don't worry yet.

He was head down last friday..??
I can feel a round bit but when he was head down, his bum felt the same?? I had pain yesterday with my BH in my right side and I couldnt breathe.
Now I got a lump and the top of my stomach and get flutterbies and I honestly think he moved cause I poked him in the head!!

I have a scan at 34 weeks because of my weight.. how far along is too late for him to be head down?

and my life style, Not stressing is IMPOSSIBLE!

OH! With the BH you need to be relaxing, staying off your feet as much as possible and drinking PLENTY of water. 2 liters a day is what the L&D prenatal nurse just said Tues at my class...that's the first time I've been given an actual amount, but she said that's a minimum. AND try NOT stressing at all if it can be helped.

Breech, that's a term I know all too well. Elijah was breech which is why I had a c-section, this baby WAS breech, but now she's head down.

He has PLENTY of time to turn, if he's still breech by a certain point they can do what's called an external version. They push on the baby to try to get him to turn.

In my experience, when Elijah was breech I didn't feel a lot at the top of my stomach, only in the right side (his back was on my left side and arms shoving on the right). I could feel his head cause there was a big round spot.

This time around, I feel her feet and a lot of movement on the top of my stomach. There's not one specific place that there's just a big round lump...

From what I was told with the flashlight, put it at the top of your tummy and run it down to the bottom, and baby is supposed to follow it...I'm not sure if that works, I never tried it.

Don't worry about it yet. Your dr will probably keep an eye on it, I found out at 22 weeks with this baby that she was breech, and my dr didn't schedule the u/s until next week at almost 36 weeks, because she could have still been breech and waited until now to flip, but she was head down at almost 32 weeks. So just relax, babies are breech up to a certain point then they either flip or stay breech, but only time can tell. I'm sure he'll flip on his own!

How far along is it untill he cant move?
