Brown discharge and no period PLEASE HELP!!

Hello, my name is Tiffany and I am 18. Lately, I have been having this brown discharge everytime my period is due. It has happened the middle of last month and this month. My period is usually in the beginning of each month and has been that way for a while now. But lately i have seen maybe a tint of red but it lasts just as long as my period just a nasty looking brown. It isnt really spotting, but not as heavy as my other periods have been. I am sexually active with my boyfriend, we use no protection even though he already has 1 kid. We dont calculate when my ovulation is or anything. We were sexually active almost every other day. But that has subsided. I have no abdominal cramps, i have minor headaches but that has been going on all my life since I am bipolar. I really need to know what you guys think please and thank you.

the bad thing is my period is kinda irregular...like it always starts around the 3rd but sometimes it 3 days something 5 sometimes 7

I'm glad you got your answer.  You CAN still start your pills.  I would start them the day after your period would NORMALLY have ended, regardless of whether you had it or not.

I went to the hospital because it felt like something was pushing my organs to my belly and i had an excrutating (spelling) headache and i was still having that brown discharge. They told me I wasnt pregnant :( (i was starting to like the idea) but they wasnt sure what was wrong with me. so they gave me some pelvic pain medication and told me that i still needed to go to my obgyn. so I am going to my appointment the 17th. I am going to make them do bloodwork for a pregnancy test just in case. Thank you guys for being there and i will keep u posted

Hi u could b pregnant but it does not sound like it only bcoz u r sayin the bleedin is period like (lasting as long as a period nearly as heavy) so the only thing that has changed is the coulor. brown blood means old blood now if I was u I would go 2 the docs asap and get test done pregnancy and test for std's if u r not using protection and if u r sayin ur periods have been regular for a while just changed recently then its worth getting checked out also if u r feelin unwell its better bein safe than sorry. But also let it b a lesson 2 u 2 b more careful and wen u r at the docs ask him/her about wen 2 start the pill woth the brown blood but also the pill does not protect against std's no1 wants 1 ov them keep me posted plz x

hello, i have pills in the drawer i just dont know when i should start taking them only because of this brown discharge. It tells me to take it when i have my period...well i wouldnt concider this a period. I made a doctors appointment for the 17th but i am still worried beyond belief and it is very hard for me to sit and wait that long. I dont have the money to buy a test right now, my boyfriend doesnt get paid till next week. I am worried because I always feel like I am on fire. I take my temperature and it says like 93. so im not sure what I should do...I wish there was an easier way to tell

Hi, You could be pregnant. Why don't you look after yourself? Please get a test and check and while you are there buy a packet of condoms. Go on the pill if he doesn't like condoms. Look fater yourself. Take care
