Hey your right but when i said i'll be back in 2wks they said no thats to late, but thats what my ultrasound was originally set for anyways 4/18.
Well you can refuse any and all things. They can't make you have anything done. Just schedule an ultrasound for 2-3 weeks away and continue having blood drawn.
I wish they would leave me alone then and just wait. But i understand there conserne just incase its an early miss or tubal preg. Ijust wish they up grade them machines so people can stop having false hope.
As Petite wonder said....5 weeks most likely you will only see a gestational and possible yolk sac. By 8 weeks everything should be visible including heartbeat.
Ultrasound machines differ considerably depending on age and model. While one machine may pick up a fetal pole at 6 weeks another may not.
Again, as was previously stated, HCG is the best indicator in early pregnancy.
at 5 weeks, you should be able to see a gestational sac... possibly the yolk sac,
at 6 weeks, you can sometimes see the fetal pole and heart beat but not always..
I believe by 8 weeks, you should be able to see everything
but it all depends on the quality of the machine and other factors..
Most places dont recommend early ultrasounds because they can cause unnecessary fear..
In the early stages of pregnancy, HCG is the best way to see viability.
