Can I conceive on a 38 day menstrual cycle?

G83
Hello,
I am 26 years old and have a 2 year old son.  I would very much like to conceive in the near future but am worried by the recent changes in my menstrual cycle.  I have been very regular for the past few cycles- every 32 days.  For the last two, I've switched to every 38 days.  Is this normal under stress or unhealthy?  When I was in for my check-up awhile back, my Dr. said I may not be releasing an egg when this happens?  What happens if my body has now decided to switch to this length of a cycle?  Am I not going to be able to get pregnant while menstruating every 38 days?  And why would a regular cycle change with no obvious weight issues, additional stress, etc...?
Would I even be able to pin-point the ovulation stage to try this month or the next?
Thanks for any input!

Yes, provided you are ovulating.

Have you charted your temperature, looked for changes in cervical mucus, or used ovulation predictors to get an idea of whether you are ovulating?  The doctor can also run tests to see if this is the case.

Most women ovulate about 7-11 days before their period starts.

A 38 day cycle is still considered normal.dont worry cycles  vary in length they say anything past 42 days should be a concern.your likely to ovulate on cd24 but i would start bedding from at least cd20.cycles can change for many reason its nothing to be concerned with.Do you chart i would suggest this as it will help pin point O.also use ovulation test.just in case your cycle reverts back to 32 then try bedding cd18 also.good luck.
