Can babies have seizures while in the womb?

STUPID QUESTION!!!! My baby has alot of quick, sudden movements. I have never felt this with my other two pregnancies. Is it possible for her to be having seizures while in my stomach?

I had the same question with my 2nd. I got an Ultrasounds and they checked her brain out fully and said she was fine but that at this age baby's can have muscle spasms during development and that it is completely normal.

I have felt those spastic movements in all of my pregnancies. Someone explained what it was to me but I forgot; that was a long while ago. But it IS normal and many women feel it.

No question is stupid - feel free to ask whatever!

I have felt weird movements like this with all 3 of my pregnancies, I just figured it was normal, because nothing abnormal ever showed up on u/s. It's happened a few times in this pregnancy already but baby looks fine. I think it's just quick sudden movements. As babies get bigger, it gets harder to move around in there. I hope it's normal though!

I've experienced similar movements - different from hiccups - as this baby and my first had them all the time.  It's like she's spazzing in there or something every now and then.  I figure it's normal - doesn't happen all the time, and her ultrasounds have all looked OK - don't they look for stuff in the brain?  Anyways, you could check with the doctor, but best not to worry too much - you're not the only one with a rambunctious baby.  :-)  Oh, and I don't remember if my first baby had these movements, but I want to say that he did, too - can't be for sure, though.

Most likely you are feeling a case of the hiccups.  It's possible for them to have in utero siezures but like clysta said it's rare and doubtful it's happening.

It's possible, but it's very rare. I doubt that would be happening in your case.
