Can my daughter be teething at 4 months?

Hello. I was wondering what you ladies think about this issue. I think my 4 month old is teething. She is SUPER drooly, crying and fussing ALL THE TIME, chewing on teethers like crazy, putting everything in her mouth, she also chews on the nipple when she eats. She had a few low grade temps of 100.2 and 100.3. When I put my finger in her mouth, she bites down really hard. Also, for the past 2 weeks she has been waking up screaming like 5-10 times a night! This is odd because ever since my daughter has been 3 weeks old, she has slept through the night without waking at all. What do you ladies think? My baby development books say that teething can start anywhere from 3-12 months, but 6 months is the average. I don't know what to think? Can you all help me? I'm a first timer! LOL. Thanks!

I know Julian has been teething for 2.5 months and still no tooth. We are getting close though!  Babies can teeth for months before actually cutting a tooth! Julian loves his teething rings and chews on everything. I have to change his bib constantly! Hes such a slobber butt!

Her gums are white with two horizontal lines. It looks like it is pressure from the tooth moving up? I don't know.. LOL. But they are not red. But they are defintiely white, not pink. Does that mean anything? LOL. When I massage her gums she coos for a bit, then cries, then coos, then cries. I don't know if it makes it better or not? LOL.

Yes, she could be teething! Are her gums swollen and red? Do you see a white "bump" under the gums? I know that my girls would teeth on-and-off for months and it took them forever to get their teeth. But some babies also cut teeth very quickly.

Thanks so much for your response! I keep checking her gums to see if I can see anything but it's so hard to get a good look in there. LOL. She is always biting my finger. Her gums look kinda pale and I can kinda feel little bumps in her gums. Is that a sign too?

My son cut his first tooth around 4-5 months and once he got his first one, it seemed they never stopped coming! It's very possible she is getting close to cutting one.
