Can u relate? Do not smoke around me!!

I have recently been flipping out on any and EVERYONE who smokes around me! Weed or Cigs!! Before I was pregnant, I was a weed smoker...but I literally quit like a week before I found out I was pregnant. The smoke and feeling of being high made me physically sick. I now HATE the smell of smoke and anyone even smoking around me. Inhaling smoke makes my throat a little sore and dry and its so unhealthy to be breathing since I'm pregnant. I don't want to seem like a ***** to everyone,  but clearly you people know its not healthy and should be considerate! I know its frustrating and they may be used to smoking around me, but it IRRITATES MY SOUL. I WANT TO PUNCH PEOPLE. AM I CRAZY??? Can you relate?

I totally agree. I hate it when they do that. One time I was going to my appointment and there was No Smoking signs everywhere at the hospital. Omg! And that fool lit one infront of me by the way I am showing! Pregnant belly and everything.  I swear. That was not cool.

absolutely understand I get really annoyed if I'm out in public I give them a nasty stare with my shirt over my face and I move away. my boyfriend gets mad because I told him he can't smoke in the house (like why would you want to when you know I'm pregnant) and my brother in law is the worst I had to put him out my car for being a jack *** (although he doesn't know I'm pregnant) lol yeah I just hate it

Lol yes! I hate it, its really so rude to make someone breathe in your second hand smoke. Especially a pregnant lady or children! I usually hold my breath or try to avoid those people. But my husband tells anyone around us who is about to light a cigarette even, " she's pregnant and smoking is so bad, could you wait until we leave?" Or makes them put it out.

Yes!! I am 17 years old too and 15w3d. Its like I can't escape it. My sister is a chain smoker, my grandma, and my stepdad...Lucky for me, my mom quit. My bf has slowed down and only takes a couple puffs of weed around me he doesn't smoke cigs . He even gets mad and makes people put out their cigarettes around me.  I hate it especially in the car. Rolling down or cracking a window does not help! I hate when I ask people to put it out and they just roll down a window. I'm like, "*****, I still smell it!!!!!!!" I am seriously going insane. I'm ready to wear a mask!

There isn't enough research one way out another on secondhand smoke, because in order to research its effects you'd have to take a group of people never exposed to it (good luck with that unless they're kids/babies and who's going to sign their child up for a study like this?), stick them in a room with smokers and then track the health of both groups. Even then there would be other health concerns that would make proving which was more dangerous almost impossible!

Well I mean that what once a nurse told me I'm not hundred percent sure it's true but like I said that's what she told me but either way I hate the smell of smoke

Nena00 I can tell you with 100% certainty that being around a smoker or smelling it is NOT more dangerous however I completely sympathise I hate people smoking around me when pregnant my bf tries to get away with smoking (weed and tobacco) in my house and I have to constantly keep telling him know and explaining why he isn't allowed I think it's rediculous, I was a heavy smoker and I haven't smoked since I found out I was pregnant, I miss it and think about smoking everyday but I will never smoke whilst pregnant.

I really irritated my husband at the drive in theater when I was pregnant with our daughter. The people parked right next to us (and upwind so all the smoke blew our way) chain smoked the entire movie! I cussed them out pretty loudly and made my husband move between shows. I guess I pissed them off in return because they followed us when we moved (luckily downwind that time). But the worst part was that they had three little kids in the car with them breathing in all that smoke! The oldest was maybe three or four. The youngest couldn't have been older than six months. Ugh! I understand it's hard to quit, but you don't force your kids (or a pregnant woman) to breathe in your second hand chain smoke!

Can totally relate. I'm 17 young I know. But even before I got pregnant, I was like this. I hated being around people that smoked and I would hold my breath when I would first smell in like passing someone who was smoking just because of second hand smoke. I wouldn't do it dramatically so they would notice but just for myself. And when I got pregnant it was the same. My family and bf went to Vegas for vacation and we were around so many people that were smoking and I literally freaked out and didn't know what to do. I had so much anxiety, I cried lol. That was mostly from hormones though. But yes it was horrible for me. Just my experience
